French publisher Microids and Dynamic Planning announced a deal for the creation of a game based on UFO Robot Grendizer.
Today Microids revealed the first gameplay and details of the upcoming anime-inspired mecha action game UFO Robot Grendizer: The Feast of the Wolves.
I'm a huge fan of Grendizer (Goldorak around here) and everything related to Mazinger.
Unfortunately, this seems like another Microid poor lame cash-in on a popular 70 franchise.
At the moment, the game seems like a poor mobile 3d brawler (Cobra Kai) with an ultra-special move that kills everything on screen.
Perhaps the game will feature as DLC other Go Nagai robots like Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger, Getter Robot, etc. but I doubt it.
Also, I fear we won't see any of the cool Grendizer support vehicles ( double Spazer, aqua Spazer, and terra Spazer) since the title is based on season 1 episode 7.
If you're fan of Go Nagain robot I would suggest giving super Robot wars 30 a try (it will bring back your inner kid).

Wow. I watched every episode of this anime (called Ufo Robot: Goldrake in my country) but i am fearful Microids won’t do it justice because it seems low budget.
Whatever the case I would get it even if it is only because of sweet nostalgia.
Never watched but an iteration of this giant robot has been in multiple Robot Wars games. Never noticed much it looks like Mazinger giant robot though.
Today Microids provided the first details about the upcoming UFO Robot Grendizer/Goldorak/Goldrake game teased a few months ago.

- oh, so much for having any hope. I can safely erase this from my mind, dismiss and news for two years or more. Be disappointed.
My childhood!
I’ve been waiting for the video game for years! They really need to make this a good one. I won’t forgive a half ass effort.
The only true good Goldorak game (or UFO Grendizer) is the Mazinger arcade game or any super Robot Wars game in which the Golodrak appear.
Now I still pray that Microid managed to deliver a game worthy of the hero of my Childhood (hey my 5 years old is already a fan of the old show) but I'll keep my expectation low.
But as a shameless plug, the new Comic album that was released a couple of days ago to celebrate the 45th anniversary of Goldorak is pure Gold (it just sucks that they still don't allow Alcor (Koji Kabuto) to Pilot Mazinger Z or even acknowledge that fact.)
Still great
Is that Tranzor Z? Wow I haven't seen this is a very long time.
How strange, normally Grendizer gets left out or forgotten all the time, hopefully we'll get a decent game out of this.
