Halo infinite PvP & PvE to Be Balanced Separately, "Never-Before-Seen" Weapon to Be Introduced

In 343 Industries's first-ever "Ask343" Q&A, the studio confirmed that Halo Infinite PvP and PvE will be balanced separately, a new "never-before-seen" weapon will be introduced, new & classic weapons to be added over time and loads more.

Seems to be a shotung variant of some kind without calling it a shotgun. LOL!

spicelicka1599d ago

The title is a little misleading, it was just part of a questionnaire where someone asked about the traditional shotgun returning and the dev responded a new weapon will take its place. "Never before seen" was just referring to within the franchise.

The weapons without muzzle flashes in the demo was never before seen either....

A lot of the Warzone (PvE) weapons in Halo 5 weren’t available in arena [ excluding some specific weapon and Fiesta slayer].

I really hope this game does well when it finally releases especially so it can give destiny a reason to actually try to impress fans.

A new map is getting added to Halo 3 after allll these years. I've no doubt we'll eventually get every weapon/permutation into Infinite.

A Doom crossover weapon pack (a la Unreal in Warframe) would be beautiful though.

This game woulda been a f**kin hit if they never botched the reveal and the game. As a fan I can’t believe one of the higher ups watched that presentation and thought ..you know what this looks awesome. This is a console bread and butter they better fix it up before they release it. Content is good and all but the game has to have a good base. Not trying to start a war but at least other platform holders bread and butter franchises make them look like bread and butter franchises.

UnholyLight1599d ago

Your comment remains almost useless seeing as they delayed the game to address (legitimate) concerns, and unless you have a crystal ball how can you know it WON'T be "a F*** hit"? Perhaps you should wait just a little longer as we have now begun the information and reveal trickle towards it's new release date.

Just a couple thoughts.

Woulda been better to launch the console with halo than with whatever they launched with. It could still be a hit who knows but the initial reveal of any game shouldn’t fckin look like that. You ever seen a Spider-Man reveal or horizon or god of war reveal look like that ? Even bugsnax looked better ( not bashing bugsnax) if anything I’m criticizing how they work at Xbox always having to 180 can’t they be proactive? No it was a bad idea to double the price of gold even though they knew they did it anyways just to 180 I could give a few examples. They need to be more proactive I read an article the other day saying Xbox is set until 2025 if things don’t pick up for them they gonna be gone. Things would pick up for them if they stopped being reactive and started being proactive

UnholyLight1594d ago

aragon I mean you're not wrong, they did botch the reveal. Wasn't a very good look, but I feel they have been very transparent since in explaining what went wrong and they steps they've undertaken to gain our trust already.

Noskypeno1598d ago

I'm thinking they botched the demo on purpose to force Microsoft to give them the delay. The graphics for single player are probably at or near the reveal trailer level and the multiplayer already looks miles better than what was shown in july

"The story would have been expanded through yearly campaign DLC, so players would not have to wait for another mainline Halo title." ~ this seldom works
But I still think, they should've tried 1 last Halo sequel based on that slipspace engine, that they invested so much on but made for current gen only, before going all in on UE5.

Call me a cynic. But it seems that not even the people working in the studio know what’s the status of Halo.

They were going to add a BR mode, which then got cancelled, but now it’s a sequel to infinite, but may be a reboot of the first game?

It may be normal for development to be like this as super Mario galaxy started as cut content from Mario 128, which then became a tech demo, which became pikmin, which eventually became Mario galaxy.

But 343 or whatever they are called now-certainly don’t have a good track record so it makes me wonder what’s happening.

porkChop225d ago

The Halo: CE remake is a separate project from the Infinite sequel.

Knightofelemia225d ago

Maybe all the staff got laid off.

TheColbertinator224d ago

I'd be much more comfortable with the future of Halo if "343" or whatever they call themselves now were no longer in charge of the series.
