Today Ubisoft announced its financial results for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2020-21, alongside a breakdown of sales per platform. Assassin's Creed Valhalla recorded the largest revenue in the franchise's history.
But I thought the Xbox was dominating in the UK. Lol on a serious note, ubisoft does need to evolve their structure a bit more. I feel like there whole year of holding back to redo some core features did absolutely nothing. Assassins creed is still the same boring game as odyssey.
Apparently that's something the "gaming media" doesn't like to discuss. I think it's all been forgotten about and we're supposed to just look forward to the annual Assassins creed game instead.
Pretty much. They had a supposed restrcutoring of their games and during that time they also had a ton of scandals going on with most of the top dogs in their company. Kinda weird that no one cares about it.
Many people complain on N4G that journalists write TOO MUCH about issues like crunch, sexual harassment, etc at game studios (I completely disagree with this) and say it's fake outrage and make excuses for it. https://n4g.com/news/235809... https://n4g.com/news/232476...
Without investigative journlists like Jason Schreier, we'd have much less knowledge of these issues. I do agree that we need more follow-up articles on Ubisoft's scandals because they're probably the most serious, tbh, but I suppose Cyberpunk's scandals are sucking up all the oxygen right now (a ransom today and that feels like a smaller story)
Not that I like the “gaming” media, because lets face it when it comes to gaming news, they are full of rubbish clickbait. But the word “media” is rightfully sacred in democracies, so lets not forget that the reason you even know about the issues you mentioned, is because someone did their job of reporting them to you. That is more than you can say for a lot of places around the world.
That's good for them but they are pretty arrogant for saying they are Nintendo's best and leading third party company when there are companies like square Enix who released more games on the switch then Ubisoft has. Ubisoft has even cancelled one of their games on switch and a lot of their games on switch are lesser games or ports. The only good games they made on switch is Mario and rabbids and that immortal rising game. I don't think they are the worst gaming company or something like that but they need to get their heads out of their asses if they say crap like that.
Go Ubi!

Watch Dogs Legion is probably the best "GTA clone" ever including GTA itself.
That's nice. How's the investigation into all the racism and sexual harassment by senior employees going?
I long stopped buying ubisofts rehashed games😂 they're decent but never above grade.
