Senua's Saga: Hellblade II Gets Cinematic Lighting Experiment Screenshot

Publisher Microsoft and developer Ninja Theory have released a new screenshot for the upcoming Xbox Series X|S and PC game, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II.

AngelicIceDiamond1586d ago

Is that real time? This game will be a beautiful showcase for X Series. E3 21 this game needs to kick off MS E3 event this summer.

Charal1585d ago (Edited 1585d ago )

« Cinematic Lighting Experiment Screenshot »

Anyone who has a single idea of what does that means is welcome.

And so, here we start already on E3 21 powa for MS? This running gag never ends.

Did you noticed that current start best start ever did not relied on any E3 event ?
E3 « win » is a thing of the past, console makers have much broader communication plans now.

Let’s hope for Ninja theory that « fans » stop pressure them to release a miracle savior for Xbox.
Seems like Cyberpunk story still did not demonstrate enough that crazy expectations are counter productive, from any side they come from.

DiRtY1585d ago

A savior for Xbox is not needed. Xbox is doing fine.

I just want this game to be good and it would still be awesome to see some gameplay at E3 this year. I don't see why this would be a bad thing.

DJStotty1585d ago

All that because they released a screenshot?

Insecure much.

Charal1585d ago

@DiRtY

My point exactly, no one need a savior, so no need to wait for any big guns at E3.

Sure gameplay will be appreciated, but whenever Ninja Theory feels it is relevant vs its development schedule.

Patience is a virtue we all gamers needs to grow for our own interest.

thesoftware7301585d ago

Charal, Calm down.

Did you come in here just to go on a negative rant, WTF dude. The guy/gal just mrly stated that what they showed looks great and hope E3 which games are unveiled shows more.

wow get off the Kool-Aid..relax and enjoy your life.

SpineSaw1585d ago (Edited 1585d ago )

@DiRtY
I'll wait till it comes to other console platform's to take a look at this puzzle game.

SPEAKxTHExTRUTH1585d ago

Your rambling is very incoherent.

AngelicIceDiamond1585d ago

"Stop with this bullying behavior when people have different opinion than yours."

Funny because you're the one who started with.

"And so, here we start already on E3 21 powa for MS? This running gag never ends."

So who started with the condescending comments already playing victim for something you started. Have some self awareness.

"Will it be possible one day on this site to discuss anything vaguely related to Xbox without enduring the fanboy justice warriors ?"

OK then don't start stuff. All I did was express excitement for HB2 and the coming Xbox event to show it off. Then you attempted to undercut that excitement with your comment.

You pushed me I push harder that's it, don't push me next time.

Charal1585d ago (Edited 1585d ago )

@ angelicicediamond

Thanks for the lol, mister pusher.
Do you ever discuss with someone without being agressive?

Sorry to cut your excitement about an obscure screenshot now one really knows how it was rendered.
But yeah your right, let’s hope HB2 will be a graphic behemoth, as it looks like this is your only criteria for the game.

It is easy to have a big mouth here I guess, but between 2 looks at your pp to be sure it is still the bigger one, try to use your brain for a second and understand what my comment was about.

I am convince 90% of the people waiting for HB2 to crush Sony never played the first one, have no clue about it’s gameplay and what was the purpose of the game.
If it is a Horizon like game you want, go enjoy it already on PC.

As for HB2, no one knows about gameplay and scope, and dumbly judge cinematic renders as holy grail.
It get us back to the Killzone scandal at PS3 reveal I am certainly too optimistic to think it put some sense in people’s mind. But maybe you were not born at that time.

I do hope HB2 will be a great game, with the best graphics possible.
But I do fear it is way overhyped by MS, and can only end up in disappointment a la Cyberpunk.

In that case, except your childish excitement breakdown no one care about, that would mean a lot of pressure and drawback for the poor devs working in that context, and maybe losing their job after monthes of crunch.

We must, as end users, put some sense in this industry, to let people do their best work without blindly over reacting at each PR tweet and continuously asking for more.

Well, I am definitively asking too much here I suppose, in times where people bought consoles twice there prices on eBay while crying about the rip off.

AngelicIceDiamond1585d ago (Edited 1585d ago )

"I am convince 90% of the people waiting for HB2 to crush Sony never played the first one, "

What a surprise you made this about Sony. YOU made this about Sony. Not surprising you came to that conclusion you can't help it. Xbox fans just want a solid AAA game under their belt. There are the ones who want to "crush Sony" with this game or ant Xbox game which is just stupid. Logically I don't see how that would... Anyway, point is when it comes to this site, youtube other forums Xbox fans just want a solid game that will not only showcase the consoles strengths but MS strength in having a worth while exclusive.

Uuh huh. That's the point of my first comment.

"In that case, except your childish excitement breakdown no one care about, that would mean a lot of pressure and drawback for the poor devs working in that context, and maybe losing their job after monthes of crunch."

Uh huh. No one cares except you.

"We must, as end users, put some sense in this industry, to let people do their best work without blindly over reacting at each PR tweet and continuously asking for more."

Uuh huh.

All that over my Comment. Take a walk.

Charal1585d ago

« Uuh huh » is a good summary of your skill to discuss something without being a cunt.

You are so blinded , for whatever reason, to make a point that I discuss here only to defend something about Sony that you just don’t see that we want the same thing at the end: to HB2 to be a good game.

I don’t give a shit about Xbox and there AAA catalogue to be clear, I’ll play it on PC.
You were the first one to talk about showcase to Xbox, and your last comment just show you are just insecure about AAA on Xbox.

"And so, here we start already on E3 21 powa for MS? This running gag never ends."

I have solution for that. It's called minding your own buissness and stick to things that interest you. They teach that in Kindergarten it seems you never passed that part and never will.

"E3 « win » is a thing of the past, console makers have much broader"

I never mention anything about winning anything. As a long running trend amongst gamers and journalists "winning E3" is something of the past now ever since Sony stopped attending.

You saw positive talk about an Xbox game and got super offended. As with most Sony fanboys who get mad, and angry including yourself desperately need a life.

Charal1585d ago (Edited 1585d ago )

Stop with this bullying behavior when people have different opinion than yours.

I give my opinion here like anyone else, with no personal attack so far.

For the rest of the comments about my life, don’t worry too much it will continue peacefully knowing your condescendent comments are comfortably shoved back where the sun never shine.

Will it be possible one day on this site to discuss anything vaguely related to Xbox without enduring the fanboy justice warriors ?

Rambokind1585d ago

X Series, the console no one wants.

medman1585d ago (Edited 1585d ago )

@rambokind
I bought a series x for gamepass because I skipped the xbox one generation. I've owned every Sony console since ps1 so the ps5 was never a doubt and as it turns out, most multiplats (to this point) are performing better on ps5 and make pretty good use of the dualsense. I'm enjoying them both. Playing Control Ultimate on ps5 and catching up on many xbox titles I missed over the last gen.

Orchard1585d ago

This game is going to be beautiful. MS studios really get the most juice out of Unreal 4/5.

Sounds like the comment below this

Even Shadow of Tomb Raider had better lighting from the current photo. Give us proof why we need to be informed on this.

shabz6661585d ago (Edited 1585d ago )

Check out their stuff on project mara. There are 2 videos on it from ninja theory on youtube. Those guys do some cool stuff. Enslaved was pretty good back in the day and I did like senuas sacrifice, especially with their audio tech.

thesoftware7301585d ago

You complaining about a minor update for fans of a game? whats wrong with you?

Bro, there is no need to turn this into anything else, why you comparing TR?

If this dont interest you, move on and stop trying to flame shit.

YourMommySpoils1585d ago

So we still doing cinematic here? XD

….. for the world’s most boring game

1Victor100d ago

And we would’ve getaway with it if it wasn’t for those pesky kids games.
Congrats to NT on their 11 nominations I wish them good luck 👍👍

Beautiful game, love the series, and the character!

Well crafter and well done.

Toecutter00100d ago

Good. The game is unique, heartfelt, and beautiful. Yes, the mechanics are rather simplistic. But the teams dedication to storytelling is on full display. It's definitely not for everyone, but it won't disappoint those who appreciate video games that push the boundaries of the medium.

Alos88100d ago

More like pushes the boundary of how short a game can be while still charging fifty quid

InUrFoxHole100d ago

Love the game. Beautiful looking, game play was solid and it didn't over stay it's welcome.

PrinceOfAnger100d ago

Good game with the best graphics and animation I've seen this gen. They need to focus more on the gameplay though if there is HB3.

Best Lead Performance of 2024

VGChartz's Lee Mehr: "As game scripts expand in size and the technology to capture performances improves, blockbuster game companies are under tremendous pressure to get the right fit for a leading role. In some cases, said actor essentially becomes the face of that franchise; their mug may be digitally altered or cropped in select ways, but they're – more or less – in the same spot as a film actor at this point. As a result, there's also a keener interest in how those performers sound if they're replacing somebody else.

Perhaps the most glaring example of that was Bloober Team's Silent Hill 2 remake. Alongside a bevy of other gameplay & story alterations, Luke Roberts replacing Guy Cihi's original James Sunderland was a major point of distress for long-time fans before release. Sure, Cihi wasn't a trained actor at the time (and it shows), but he carried a type of unique charm that meshed perfectly with the game's strange world. A similar situation was Troy Baker assuming the mantle of Indiana Jones. How similar could he actually sound to a younger Harrison Ford? Judging by the collective staff & community acclaim, both of them fared quite well, and so too did the others who made up our final five."

Best Narrative of 2024

VGChartz's Chinh Tran: "Like a good book, a good videogame story will stay with you long after the credits roll and the controller is put down. As is true in most years, 2024's Best Narratives feature RPGs. However, joining them on the shortlist are a diverse set of games from different genres, proving that a good story in videogames isn't limited to one single genre. And despite these differences in game types, all the shortlisted titles do have something in common: a grand and memorable narrative.

Indiana Jones and the Circle of Fire put players in the shoes of the titular character in the franchise's best narrative in decades. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth allowed players to continue on a bold new path from the original in exciting ways. Metaphor: ReFantazio let players experience a mature and complex tale of discrimination and equality. Senua's Saga: Hellblade II once again wove a metaphoric tale of hate, tragedy, and resiliency. Finally, The Plucky Squire creatively showed us what happens when characters from a storybook discover a world beyond their own."
