Metal Gear Solid 3 might not get a full remake with Fox Engine but a fan is attempting to recreate it in-game using Metal Gear Solid 5.
Someone attempted it 4 years ago: https://youtu.be/IRWY_7oRS3...
MGS3 is the best MGS, facts.
MGS4 all the way.
"Someone attempted it 4 years ago:" that was a video edit though. the codex calls weren't real and neither was the HUD.
Very cool idea!
come on Konami, just give it to bluepoint. let them work their magic on this gem
3.2.1 banhammer. Still nintento be like 0.1 I must break you 😂
It's rare to see mods get shut down though, since it's not an actual independent unlicensed game. This is simply adding or alteration existing game code. This is different from making a separate MGS game which has been shut down in the past. Why can't Konami pull their heads out of their ass, become a good publisher again, and remake the old MGS games themselves (as well as port MGS 4 and add back in the cut content to current generation platforms)?
Imagine a remake that looks something like this: https://www.metalgearinform... Hopefully Konami will come to their senses some day. All those great IP that are just being forgotten.
Love this. I wish Konami would stop being so useless... so many good IP's wasted.
Ok now the creator should just stop showing any more of this. The person should now just finish it to 100% completion and then upload it to a torrent site. In this way Konami would be fucked because they cannot take that torrent down and we all win. He/She can even go further and host it on the dark web, I mean your 100% safe there, trust me no one will even bother trying to find you on the dark web for a game mod LOL. You see guys if more modders did it the way I just described do you know how many finished fan games we would have now and no one would do shit because they wouldn't bother once the game is all over on torrent sites and or the dark web. 👌😁
Fan project. Bleh. The headline got me excited. Guess that was the point.
I believe the best MGS games are the ones that worked around the limitations of the era. At the time many people wanted MGS3 to have a 3D camera, but Kojima decided against it. The game has a claustrophobic feel that makes it unique and extremely fun to replay... you feel you have infinite options to explore, in a very restricted environment = genius level design... So honestly: I don't like this.
