yeah, other than the lack of aliasing on the ps5 version, Ps4 looks better in every way. Even the hair is far more detailed on PS4. Most noticeably, the reflections and shader effects on PS4 seem way better.

Seems like a similar scenario to Arkham Asylum (7th gen, UE3) vs Return to Arkham (8th gen, UE4 port)

I know I’m going to be the minority here, but the PS4 version looks way better in my opinion.

SamPao1255d ago

If you want half the frame rate...and extremely contrast. Go ahead.

You can probably just put up the contrast on ps5 and you get the better version + the contrast :)

Stanjara1255d ago

Yeah, I think they can fix that color correction, bloom and saturation on the ps4 in an update but hey.
Looks more natural to me.

fr0sty1255d ago

Def no the minority, the PS5 version looks terrible by next gen standards, and the PS4 version looks far better.

TheExecutioner1255d ago

yes PS4 is superior however shadow was more visible in PS5

This comparison is great for me to confirm a thought I always had: in games, style counts more than realism. I see games that people praise for their realistic visuals, and they hardly ever make me as excited as games with stylized visuals. But I thought I might be biased by the games themselves and not looking at the graphics objectively.

But now it's the same game with different graphical options, so I can compare it better. PS4 version has oversaturation and contrast levels that almost make it look like a drawing. PS5 went for a more realistic lighting. And realism just looks bland when comparing to the stylized option.

i see zero difference beside contrast and filter that makes the image look slightly different

PC Games That Are Better With A Controller

Here are some great PC games that are even better with a controller. In fact, one can say that they're meant to be played with a controller.

That's why I don't mess with PC gaming for the most part. When I game I'm relaxing. Hard to do that with a keyboard and mouse. That's just my thought on it.

I'm still hoping bethesada adds real controller support to the og fallout or re release them on xbox like what was done with wasteland 1

What exactly is so hard about using a keyboard and mouse compared to a controller when subjectively relaxing? Do you game upside down on a crossbar?

Daeloki316d ago

At least in my opinion, with a controller I can lay back comfortably in my couch however I want. Keyboard + mouse would require a table and chair, and requires investing in ergonomics not to completely mess up my back (not saying the couch is good for my back either but achieving comfortability is easier). Again, emphasizing that I'm speaking out of opinion, and I agree with you that concepts of relaxing and which is better are both very subjective matters. All in all I don't think it's a particularly good article since it really boils down to personal preference.

Heavenly sword .. lol Microsoft owns the devs that made that game but not the game lol.
Probably gonna go with farcry 5 if I decide to sub.

MadLad576d ago (Edited 576d ago )

That's pretty much how bringing a 3rd party, multiplatform studio under the fold after they released games work.
Whatever deal was made here was between Microsoft and Sony.

SurgicalMenace576d ago

It's public knowledge that Sony owns the IP to Heavenly Sword much like Capcom owns the rights to DMC. It is possible to just contract a developer to make the game while retaining the rights.

Crows90576d ago

Yeah...still funny. Also shows that MS is on a blind buying spree and this whole thing about a "relationship" is a bunch of horse kaka.

Just like Bungie and Halo. Bungie made Halo for Microsoft then became independent and was bought by Sony. Sony owns Bungie but cant touch Halo.
