This game seems fun. Something that right know everybody needs.

ScootaKuH1566d ago

It is fun. I think they made the right choice launching on PS Plus as well. Currently the game only has 4 modes and a very limited soundtrack which does become irritating quickly lol.

That said, the modes on offer are a lot of fun, and I'm looking forward to seeing where Lucid take the game. A great game for PS Plus for sure, but so far, for £60 it's very light on content

Funny you mention soundtrack
If only fall guys had more tunes!

Storm231566d ago

Just listen to Spotify and turn off in game sound

I always wondered why they focused so much on individual looks when it's a car game. Guess I have more questions now watching the character get out and pick up some crystals to spawn a new car?

The game, honestly, looks like just mayhem.

gamer78041566d ago

I think to give it that game show feel

ScootaKuH1566d ago (Edited 1566d ago )

Interestingly mayhem is the name of one of the events!

As for the looks, this is to offer some distinction. Each driver has a unique specification ability and their own "Hero" car with its own ability too.

for the most part the dips are minimal. There are a couple of bigger dips there though. Hopefully those are few and far between.

StoneyYoshi1566d ago

Those dips wont even be noticeable but I'm sure this can easily be optimized if need be.

Neonridr1566d ago

I mean the little dips from 60 down to like 55 surely won't. But there was one dip there where it dropped to nearly 45. You'd be able to tell the difference there briefly as it would look slightly off. That being said they were few and far between and yes could easily be optimized.

ScootaKuH1566d ago

I've had one full on freeze and a couple of graphical glitches but on the whole it runs well, and is a lot of fun

StoneyYoshi1566d ago

"But there was one dip there where it dropped to nearly 45."

My bad. thats what I get for not watching the whole thing. 😅

Neonridr1566d ago

that's ok, it only happened maybe once or twice during that entire playthrough. Even that can be ironed out through patches.

Rimeskeem1567d ago (Edited 1567d ago )

Looks like fun and it's free with plus. Can't really see why I wouldn't play this with some friends!

Wonder if they have a 1080P performance mode that just gets rid of dips?

Jin_Sakai1567d ago

The could just do some more optimization and release a patch or make the resolution scaling a tad more aggressive and I’d assume it could be a locked 60fps

StoneyYoshi1566d ago (Edited 1566d ago )

Im sure you wont notice those 5-8 fps dips. But a patch could easily fix that.

my TV is full hd, my monitor is full hd so I'm good to go :D

Well they went from full price to throwing it onto PS+ monthly, I'd like to know who tested the game and said "Yeah, It's fun"

OzzY-waZZy1053d ago

I played for an hour and said to myself, I'm never playing this again. It just wasn't fun.

Fluke_Skywalker1053d ago

Same, it was fun for about 20mins. Game is well dead, who the hell is still playing it?

_SilverHawk_1053d ago

I play it sometimes and it's a lot better than when it launched. I think it's a fun game but it needs more content. I also think it can be a lot better if they had a mode where characters had some sort of projectile when out of the vehicle and another mode where the vehicles has projectiles. I'm quite sure the devs probably tried a lot of different techniques when in and out of vehicles but I think it's a fun game that just needs a lot more to offer

Profchaos1053d ago

I played the tutorial found it extremely generic and a typical
mp game couldn't bring myself to play it further Waa far go bored.

If player counts have not improved after ps plus and now the new ps plus they won't

CobraKai1053d ago

I wanted to like it, but it had no depth, nor did it have any real incentives to keep playing. Maybe a career mode or something

Germaximus1052d ago

The game looks fun and cool. I just don't have a PS5.

I still like the vibrant colorful visuals of this game.

It's a fun game and I try firing it up once in a while but matchmaking takes too long as no one is playing it anymore

generic-user-name1067d ago

This game feels like it's *this* close to being great, it's just missing something. I think if they went with weapon pick ups like Twisted Metal (yes, I know TM is in the works at Firesprite) then that could have been it. Relying on just ramming is a bit meh.
