WOW!, this is hilarious! I mean come on look at this sentence:

"We messed up today and you were right to let us know."

And this is Multibillion dlls company, I mean who da hell is running the company gaming division? I would expect some serious behavior but damn lol, I would expect something like this from a un-experienced small company but this MS we are talking about, great reputation you are leaving behind hehe.

In the end what counts is they change their mind in the last minute, I think in the end maybe they only wanted attention lol.

Ah Logicwins

You were swearing up and down MS was going to make live gold free for everyone.

Your username doesn’t suit you

No, its very clearly a Phil Spencer-ish move. He's been sinking the Xbox brand since 2014. Nothing new.

It really boggles the mind.

I always hear their fans say things like, "MS don't care about 7.5 Billion. They've got all the money in the world" and things like that. Well... if they're soooo damned rich and don't care about their massive investments into gaming, then why in the hell would they do something so greedy.... so incredibly stupid greedy and basically charge people $120 a year to play a free game like Fortnite? Huh? Ohhhhh but people say about their investments that "MS will just eat the cost" OH REALLY? What horseshit that turned out to be.

Look they need to backtrack this ridiculous move and they need to do it fast.

potatoseal42d ago

They backtracked. But can't believe they had the balls to make the move in the first place. Sneaky greedy dogs LMAO. This has turned into something quite funny. But yeah, well done to the XBOX fans who spoke up and let their voices be heard.

Unfortunately too many balls and not enough brains. They spend loads of time making the right noises then the brain gets put away and they totally ruin the good work they have done.

don't forget they bought that 8bit minecraft

utopiancat43d ago

It was just a matter of time before they had to start charging realistic prices. It was obvious for years that Microsoft had been subsidizing these subscriptions. They needed to raise the price but they didn't have the balls to increase the price of Gamepass itself so they increased the cost of Gold.

But rest assured as people have said time and time again. Either the quality of the games the number of games will decrease or the cost of the service will increase. They can't keep running a service where they are making .05 cents per game plus paying for developmental costs forever. On top of reportedly paying double digit millions to get some of the big budget games on the service.

Theyve reversed their decision

RazzerRedux42d ago

Good! It was a stupid decision. And they finally removed the Gold requirement for F2P games. About time.

RosweeSon42d ago

Currently, I give it a year. It was a stupid decision and even worse timing who would think it’s a good time to bang all the prices up 1 in a pandemic and 2 when they’ve just launched and brand new gen and surely want people to get their consoles 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷 🏻‍♂️😂 sell a few consoles those prices will go up. Could be wrong but 🤷🏻‍♂️😂 ✌🏻
