Xbox might have the power this gen, but I'm going where the exclusives are

The next generation of consoles from Sony and Microsoft have been out for a while now, but we’re only starting to see new games that can take advantage of the huge power leap over the last generation. On paper, the Xbox Series X is the more powerful hardware, but is that all you need for a console?

It doesn't even have "the power", it's been a toss up between the consoles which one runs certain games better... and there are games on PS5 that will utilize the HDD in ways that make it impossible to run on Series X without load times interrupting what otherwise would have been seamless gameplay (Ratchet and Clank, for instance).

Imagine actually listening to player feedback and not only changing a price increase but the unlocking free to play games. I’d still rather pay 1$ extra a month than 10$ more for every next gen game. People should have been raising hell over that which they kinda did. You see how certain companies listened to that. Not a one of them took it back

It's only $70 if you buy every game on release date, and even then, many retailers have pre order sales that knocks $10-15 off the price. I don't know about you, but in the past 10 years I could count on one hand the games I've full price. I wait until black friday to stock up on the games I'm behind on. The only games I buy close to full price are multiplayer FPS games like COD and Battlefield, and even then, I usually can get those cheap(er) on black friday too. It also was only $1 extra per month if you buy on a per month basis. If you buy per year it was DOUBLE what the price has been in the past. You also won't get games like COD and 2K any cheaper on xbox. You still pay the same price.

A 10 year history of not making any new AAA games?
Budgets that are based on marketing and the subscription service over any advancements or true muscle behind said games?
Examples: crackdown 3 was a $60 release game that was worse than most free to play games.
Sea of thieves. Once again, a $60 launch game that is just like any other free to play game.
State of decay 2.
Gears of war was gears of war. No new tech or engine advancements. Sub par story telling. Cheeky huge empty open area just to say “open world” style game.

I mean.. senseless is actually believing in this company.
They have released more consoles in 7 years than they did new AAA exclusives.
They have closed more studios after purchasing them in their long history.

I dunno bout that the way ppl bring up the "past 10 years" argument. MS knows good and well they can't fumble again. Having no launch line up is the most obvious reason why.
