Edge of Eternity is the closest thing to a new Final Fantasy you’ll play this year (TheSixthAxis)

TSA writes: With details of Final Fantasy XVI thin on the ground and Final Fantasy VII Remake’s second part likely quite some way away, you will likely be looking for an alternative game to give you a Final Fantasy fix in 2021. If you’ve played through all the earlier titles and are on the hunt for something new, then let me introduce you to Edge of Eternity – a JRPG so drenched in FF tradition that it’s the gaming equivalent of I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter. Last time I played on pc the game was a little janky. They'll probably improve it for console release though. Otherwise I had fun with it. Hopefully the team is rewarded with sales for being as ambitious as they were.

About as close as a toothpick to a Buster Sword.

I'd rather wait for scarlet nexus or tales of arise. Even granblue fantasy relink if that's still coming out

Relink got pushed to 2022, sadly.

This one has been on my radar for some time, hope it doesn’t disappoint.

I got it when it FIRST launched in EA a couple of years ago. Before any content updates and really enjoyed it. I haven't gone back to it yet, but from my understanding it has received so much extra content that it's basically 4x as big than it was then. And everything I've read about it praises it.

It wasn't perfect then and was a little rough around the edges when it came to some animations, but it was still a solid RPG. I think it will be worth it for sure.
