IKR? Multiplayer is cool and all, but I kind of want a good pirate sim. Maybe I'll dust off my old PSP to play Sid Meier's Pirates, but I'd really love a new game in that series to enjoy on my more current systems, or something in a similar vein.
Actually, there are multiple different ways to do a pirate sim. You could manage an armada. A life-sim type type game could be pretty neat too, where you manage a single ship, but have freedom to do certain things such as build rooms in the interior for accommodations, warfare, and fulfilling other needs of the crew, and you can occasionally trade up to a bigger ship by purchasing or plundering one. Come to think of it, there's room for a lot of possibilities with pirate games that are, as of now, relatively untapped.
I don't know what the hell happened to Ubisoft's pirate game. People loved the pirating in Black Flag so much that Ubisoft haf announced they were gonna make a full-on pirate game separate from the Assassin's Creed franchisen but it's been years since then and we've seen nothing of it. That sucks, that was one game I was rooting for.
Don't know why, loved AC Black Flag, the only AC game I beat/ zeroed
And single player too, none that mmo crap..
It's starting to gain traction but it's very Multiplayer focused.
Can I get a Sinbad game instead? Great movies back then. Give me the 7th Voyages of Sinbad. Or some Arabian Knights game.
Cause Vikings are the flavor of the month.
