The Best Dreamcast Fighting Games

The end of the 90’s and the beginning of the 2000’s were an amazing time for fans of fighting games. Arcade and home console technology was pretty comparable, meaning that many arcade classics got ported to home consoles with similar graphics and mechanics. The Sega Dreamcast was home to many of these awesome arcade fighters since Sega was leading in arcade games at the time.

Street Fighter 3rd Strike, Marvel vs. Capcom, Power Stone, Virtua Fighter, Ready 2 Rumble Boxing, Mortal Kombat Gold...on top of those you mention, and that’s without looking anything up. Dreamcast had some great fighting games for its time.

Ready 2 rumble was fun as well and the mortal kombat 3 games where almost arcade perfect. The old ea boxing games were fun with all the old boxing legends.

Not to mention soul calibur , (which is on the list )
was and probably still is one of the best games of all time and that includes all adventure platform FPS rpg racing puzzle.. etc. for a fighting game to be that good I really did believe it is is and still is one of the best games ever.

AvP on the Jag was pretty ambitious for the time. I always wondered what a smoother (faster) frame rate would have done for that game. nice to see a spiritual sequel is in the works after all these years.
