Cyberpunk 2077 has barely launched for a month yet it is now possible to find the game for as low as $30, which is a big price drop for a blockbuster game.
The price dropping is down to the retailer, and is not related to the state of the game or the rep of CDPR (which took the equivalent of a scratch on a car).
The last of us 2 is <$30 from the same retailer, standard practice for games this in the US.
Why i refunded my copy. Typically broken/launch disaster games go cheap quick. Once theyre in a good state however, the price jumps back up. Waiting til it hits $20.
I remember buying No Man's Sky for Ps4 for $7 used on Amazon. Once they turned the game around it became $30 on sale. Gamestop was selling Anthem for $2 at one point. I don't think that one is getting fixed.
Played 45+ hours and this game and while it was one of those "edgy," the biggest highlight of the game was how impressive some of the NPCs dialogue and connections feel between you and the NPC. That said, the combat is incredibly shallow and lacks any sort of "thrill," and the characters/factions have almost zero interaction with one another that makes the game feel like an empty shell of something much greater that could have been.
Let me know when it is in thr bargin bin, then I might pick it up and see what all the fuss is about. Had an inkling that this game was not going to be the juggernaut many thought it woukd be.
Maybe I'll buy it at the end of the year, months after the next gen patch comes out and they've fixed whatever they'll inevitably mess up with that, when the game can be found used on disc for like 12 bucks. Hopefully they can improve some of the other shortcomings of the game by then too (doubtful).
Had so much potential just wasted on some CEO bonus checks hope it was worth the billions u lost in stocks it hasn’t stopped going down yet and game sales which are getting refunded plus your getting sued for false advertising wow what a bunch of scumbags your rep is in the toilet good luck coming back from this
Well, they’ve already made their money back and then some. I honestly didn’t feel like the game was unplayable, but this is coming from someone who played on a next-gen console.
I did watch playthrough streams of the base console version and the people I watched had no issues aside from the “normal” glitches, but this was post patch. It’s a shame what happened.
On one hand I can’t defend the game and it’s good that it has set a precedent for the industry, but on the other hand why do games like Skyrim and Fallout 4 not have to go through this dragging through mud mob rush scenario? This game feels like it’s on the same level as those and all I ever hear is praises for those games.
If you don't think people complain about bethesda games you have NOT been paying attention. If anything people have blown their complainers from doing it for so damn long.
And the fact that cd pr, whom many, many people held as the golden standard best developer, is now being talked about in the same likes as the worst bethesda games is the perfect example of how far they've fallen.
I meant to the extent of removing the game from PSN and full refunds or suing the developers. I remember a time when Skyrim was literally unplayable on the PS3 due to a file save corruption bug.
Skyrim came in 2011 and had no competition whatsoever. Fallout 4 isn't exactly praised for story or dialogue, but it is still Fallout. Besides, none of those two promised to revolutionise open world games.
I'm a 130 hours into the game, just started my second playthrough and am still enjoying myself. It has bugs but it is not broken! I wonder if you've even played the game, cause your comment is an lie.
Why would I need to convince you? You got it and enjoyed it. Did I say I didn't enjoy it? Are we doing a review now? 130 hours? I played more than 130 hours. Your point? So only the ones who played it the longest and what they say has merit? I beat the game twice already. I let Silverhand take Vs body completely. The second time V went to live out the rest of the days with Panam and her clan. But that doesn't mean the game worked properly. Did I forget to mention the repeated error that occurred which terminates the game? And the countless glitches that prevented progress in completing missions, like trying to locate a body and retrieve it but the body is between a wall and a immovable object? Or when you can't exit the hacking of terminals screen no matter what you pressed? Or when in the middle of a gun fight my gun decided not to want to fire anymore when it's already been reloaded? Or when I could not actually pick up the item to complete a mission? Or trying to do a stealth mission and not harm anyone including enemies to rescue somebody but the enemies decided to start firing at the hostages anyway when I had not cyberpsychosis hacked anyone or alert anyone. But of course I just watched videos of glitches and reeled this all off is your answer right? Because theres no proof. Just like you calling me a liar because according to you I haven't played the game.
165 hours played on PC, zero crashes. But I have had 4 crashes now on my current playthrough of Spiderman Remastered on ps5. What can ya do?
I like how you are saying you spent over 130 hours playing a game that doesn't "work properly", but managed to complete it twice. None of the issues you stated happened to me on my playthrough.
@VTKC Game works fine on PC, literally played through with nothing game breaking. Just a few oddities every once in a while, but very far and few in between. Console is another story.
The game is great! Sad, that for some, there are so many bugs. After slow launch, I was able to play through majority of game without bugs (only very few glitches). And I did all sidequests except fight ones. Now Im playing second time with different build and so much different play style (first was hack/katana, now mainly boxer style - so much fun :-) ).
If they wouldn’t have said were gonna have this and that and that and this and repeat over and over again then dont come through what did U think people were going to say oh thanks for trying better luck next time 👎👎👎
I'm 140+ hours in on it on a base PS4. If you're looking to avoid lockups or bugs, wait a while longer. The game IS fun, but it still locks up every 3-4 hours. The minor bugs are no worse than any Fallout/Elder Scrolls game. The major bugs can make side gigs impossible to complete ('Stadium Love' and 'An Inconvenient Killer' are the two I've run into). If you decide to jump in at this price, make sure you make a new save before you start a gig/mission.
Yeah that's fine. Got the Witcher 3 GotY for around that price and didn't miss out anything other than playing a much better version of that game and saving money.
How have you people still not noticed that this has been normal for most newer games for the past few years? Are you all just rich? Almost every game hits half price or $35 after just a couple months now.
Traded in 2k20 and dark souls 3 got it for 5 bucks at best buy. Plays great on the one x. Its a glitchfest but I have been training all my life at Bethesdas school of skyrim and I am a vault dweller with knack of killing rad roaches so its a breeze haha.
It doesnt crash or freeze. Plays great meaning the combat and guns. Just saying if you like fallout and skyrim you might like cyberpunk. The stories and missions are great too. To me it plays great even if theres glitches. Idk how to explain it DJ
These types of sales happen on this time frame for most games. You're just singling out Cyberpunk for clicks. I got Assasssin's Creed Valhalla in for 34 dollars a little less than 1 month after launch.
that's games these days. I mean Assassins Creed has been $40 physical for quite some time & down to $35 the past 2ish weeks. Even digitally it was on sale for $40 for like a month. Immortals dropped to $30 physical super fast. A ton of, especially 3rd party games are seeing prices dropping to $30-40 not long after release. That may change in the future with $70 games but almost this entire generation games have dropped in record time while selling record numbers before a price drop.
Physical only amazon and best buy. Digital full price.
I will re buy at $14.99
It was a mistake to announce that the Next Gen patch would take more than 6 months 🤷♂️
Why pay 30 now if I can just wait and get a proper PS5 version for $20 or even less down the road?
As a PS5 owner, I don't feel like playing the last gen version with tons of glitches even at half price.
Very sad. Along with the price dropping so to has the reputation of CDPR. The leadership team needs to be completely replaced. They shipped this POS.
