Through the first eight weeks available worldwide the PlayStation 5 is ahead of the Switch and Xbox Series X|S by a fair margin. The PS5 is ahead of the Switch by 1.84 million units and is 2.13 million units ahead of the Xbox Series X|S.
The PS5 has sold 4.66 million in eight weeks worldwide, while the Switch sold 2.82 million units and the Xbox Series X|S 2.52 million units.
Looking at the marketshare through eight weeks, the PlayStation 5 currently leads. The PS5 has a 46.6 percent marketshare, the Switch sits at 28.2 percent, and the Xbox Series X|S at 25.2 percent.

I finally got my Series X! Quick resume, is an AMAZING FEATURE. Being able to switch between (at least 5 games) in seconds, is literally a game changer!
I am coming from the X1X, and didn't think a game like Tetris Connected, would benefit from my upgrade. Holy smokes, I was wrong. The colors and the sound, from that game are FAR better, on Series X than my X1X. Eye popping!
If you are using a new gen console, you really need a capable TV or monitor. My TV is UHD, Ultra HDR, and up to 280 MHZ. With Dolby Atmos, and Vision. So far there are over 80 games optimized for Series X. Around 20 of them are available for Game Pass.
All game consoles are selling well. Looking forward to the new Switch! The Switch has been my go to, for just plain fun!
Now, I need to find a way to get a PS5, without my partner going nuts.
