From Wired: "TODAY, LUCASFILM GAMES announced that it’s entering a partnership with Ubisoft to create an open-world Star Wars game. The title will be developed by Ubisoft’s Massive Entertainment, marking the first time that a company outside of EA has produced a Star Wars game since Disney acquired Lucasfilm in 2012, ending nearly eight years of exclusivity. Also in the works is a new Indiana Jones game, to be developed by Bethesda Game Studios, a newcomer to Lucasfilm’s and Disney’s properties."

Luxoflux Killed it with Vigilante 8 / Second Offense. Both were amazing for their time. Demolition was/is still nearly unplayable.
Massive news. Star Wars would lend itself so well to an open world game and Ubisoft obviously have experience with this. There were hints of how it could work with Disney Infinity 3.0 which was aimed at younger ages but still had some great moments. Also, I personally love Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic such a great RPG that gave you a sense of the universe. Now we also know Bethesda/Machine Games is making an Indy game I hope the new Lucasfilm Games is scouting for a developer with experience to make RPGs.
Massive Entertainment. Love them since the World in Conflict days.
Division was a nice effort from them and hence I just hope this Star Wars game is not a live-service based one.
From the developers of such glitch fests as assassins creed unity to your favorite meh open world titles comes a generic open world star wars game.
Why the hell does every game have to be open world. Look at God of war 2018. It's got a fleshed out hub area and kind metroidvania but everything flows great and has depth.
I just hope it won’t be blatantly formulaic like most Ubisoft games.
EA’s Star Wars exclusivity deal must of been renegotiated awhile back without being publicly disclosed.
