From GameWatcher: "Frontier Developments has announced adjustments to Elite Dangerous: Odyssey's release schedule which see the upcoming expansion arriving later on both PC and consoles. Out of the two, the PC launch remains closest to the initial Early 2021 window.
Elite Dangerous: Odyssey's alpha access will begin in early spring, owners of the Lifetime Expansion Pass and the expansion's Deluxe Alpha version getting access to this early version of the game."
Elite Dangerous: Odyssey update 11 is now available, according to Frontier Developments. The game was updated with a variety of performance improvements, bug fixes, and new features.
In Elite Dangerous is a space simulation game where you take a ship and 100 credits to make money legally or illegally - trade, bounty-hunt, pirate, assassinate your way across the galaxy.
Only direction I see this game going on consoles is in VR to keep it relevant. It would at least be some competition to No Man's Sky. Even better in certain areas of gameplay.
We know Hello Games will continue to improve their game for PS5 and PSVR 2. Instead of DLC, they need to get their engine ready for increased immersion.
Cultured Vultures: "Odyssey feels like an early access release, and considering that this is a piece of DLC costing £29.99 ($39.99), it’s really not good enough."
Pfft he said he's got 300 hours of elite play time and is a big fan......NOT, think I've got 3 years straight playing on BBC model b and God knows how many months on elite dangerous. But games.like elite always upset people with change. I think dlc should always be optional to do, i.e. if you want it pure elite then play it pure, forget the planet side fos stuff. But please don't force me to play on the planets or do the cranky FPS stuff. That's how you kill your hardcore gamers
