Coral Island Aims to Blend Farming RPGs and Environmentalism

If you love farming RPGs, a brand-new game is on the horizon: Stairway Games has announced Coral Island, a project coming to Kickstarter that aims to build on the formula of games like Stardew Valley.

Coral Island aims to "[keep] intact what makes classic farm sim games fun" while also modernizing some elements, adding an environmentalism element, and making the game more inclusive. It's not out quite yet — the developers have yet to launch its Kickstarter campaign — but it does bring some intriguing ideas to the table.

Seen the Dev post this on Resetera. Look to take heavy inspiration from Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing. Could definitely use some improvements on character animations and character models. Other than that the game looks looks pretty good.

Even though I already have the game on PC, concidentally a few days ago I searched for it on Switch's eShop because having Switch's sleep mode would be a godsend. I was disappointed seeing that it wasn't released on Switch, and even more now that I learned it may never happen.
