Neil writes: "Way back in August 2019 Kalypso Media - they behind the superb Tropico series - announced that gamers would soon be able to take a space walk with the launch of Spacebase Startopia, a brand new space station management sim which would let us reach for the stars. Planned to originally launch in Q3 2020, and then seeing the next October launch date revised for Spring 2021, we'll be honest to admit that we didn't expect to be given the opportunity to head into space any time soon. But hey, 2021 is already proving to be a upgrade on that which went before it and now we see Spacebase Startopia arrive on Xbox - albeit in Xbox Game Preview form."
"The UK-based indie games publisher Kalypso Media and indie games developer Realmforge Studios, are today very pleased and thrilled to announce that their space base-management game “Spacebase Startopia” is now available for the Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo Eshop." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
Kalypso Media and Realmforge Studios announce that Spacebase Startopia will be coming to Nintendo Switch at the end of September.
TSA writes: "Garbage. When you start up Spacebase Startopia for the first time, the last thing you expect to be dealing with is huge amounts of garbage. Yet, the aliens that visit your space base are notorious litterers, and the introductory mission has you dealing with this mess. It’s a tedious start to the game with not much to do apart from collect garbage and put it in the recycler, but you do it hoping that the following missions will bring more interesting scenarios."
