Despite somewhat rocky beginnings for both platforms, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One became home to some of the most celebrated games of all time. While we’re all excited to see what the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S have in store, we’d be remiss if we didn’t take a proper look back at the era we’re leaving behind.
A little-known game Puppeteer is on this list for the best PS3 platformers.
Puppeteer is really good. Nobody played it because it came out right before PS4 came out. When I went to pick up Puppeteer from GameStop some people were trading in their old consoles for PS4 preorder.
Ubisoft barely have a leg to stand on lately, so do they need to crack open the vaults and return platforming royalty to glory for some goodwill?
We need Rayman 4, they could make a great platformer game if they wanted. With the open hub levels and the like.
Better than relying on Rabbids and Assassins Creed all the time
Yes..but I am sure it won't be the Rayman game fans want. Not from the company that is Ubisoft today.
Ancel is retired from games. His hoodlum/rabbid team are doing their own thing. It would not be the same if Ubisoft did.
Experience points, skill trees to fill up, level gating, endless menial tasks and side quests, constantly scrounging for resources. Always having to upgrade your gear. A.KA. "The Ubisoft effect".
No thanks, don't ruin Rayman's legacy.
A decade on from Rayman Legends' release, it remains a near perfect platformer, so what happened to Rayman? Will we ever see another sequel?
Red Dead Redemption 2 for me. Followed closely by God of War.
Alien Isolation? I totally agree it deserves to be in this list but the cheek of IGN to mention it in here yet at the time they gave it a 5.9 / 10
Anyway this list really shows how well Sony have been doing on the games front overall, it's been a good generation for them.
RDR2 for me. Graphics, story, immersion... Just the controls felt a bit cluncky at the start.
Most PS4 exclusives I really enjoyed along with some great multi-plats.
Red Dead Redemption is just a beauty of a game. love it all the wa
