Morkredd Review (TheSixthAxis)

TSA writes: There are many games that play with the duality of light and dark, good and evil, but Morkredd is a game that takes this quite literally. Darkness is the danger, while light is a saving grace that guarantees survival. The game is a physics puzzler in which two characters are tasked with transporting a large ball of light, solving puzzles and avoiding enemies along the way. There is constant danger as any hint of darkness, as even the characters’ own shadows will bring near instantaneous death.

Morkredd Review | DarkStation

Lee Mehr - "Morkredd's main mechanic succinctly reflects my own thoughts on it altogether. The glowing orb represents life: punctuating atmosphere, inspired visual design, and a motivating gimmick. But when you begin to step away, as you wander outside its glow, you encounter death: day-one DLC, technical problems, an atrocious finale, and more. These severe disparities, bright day and atramentous night, imply even genre fans will be ambivalent towards it."

Bring a friend into the shadows with Mørkredd on Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC

Dave writes: "You have to hand it to Xbox Game Pass, it’s wheeling out some bangers this Christmas. We’re getting a steady stream of high-quality games that we wouldn’t necessarily have bought ourselves, as well as narrative-flavoured games that don’t have a huge amount of replayability. Mørkredd very much falls into both brackets, and it is out now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC."
