Cyberpunk 2077 – Review | Sirus Gaming

“In 2077, what makes someone a criminal?” asks Keanu Reeves, out of character from his role as Johnny Silverhand, in one of the promotional trailers for Cyberpunk 2077. “Getting caught,” Reeves answers moments before the trailer cuts to a dazzling array of glittering neon skylines, flashing gunfire, and crowds of colorful characters. While this moment is symptomatic of the edgelord marketing that’s followed the eagerly anticipated RPG on its long journey from announcement to release, it is also emblematic of the controversy surrounding it.

TW3 writing was on the immature side as well, it's very boyish. I'm curious how you found CP2077 writing immature and not TW3? Maybe I am missing something, but this seems like CDPR's signature or "confession", if you will, rather than the writing being tied to CP2077.

Vx_1633d ago

TW3 is miles better than this forgettable crap.

RPGer1633d ago

Yeah "V!!! you are the best since the start of the game without any background explained" is better than a Hunter that seeks to his semi-daughter and going through big Political and Barbarians troubles. Again one Side mission of TW3 is better than most C2077 has to offer.

anast1633d ago

The first couple of hours of the beginning of the game sets up the background. Have you played it?

SyntheticForm1633d ago

It's hard to believe the two games are made the same studio. The only thing that tells me it's a CDPR game is that it shares W3's inventory system and copious amounts of food and drink items.

TheKingKratos1633d ago

To me this is The most overhyped and overrated game of all time

The new vogue is to bash on Cyberpunk 2077!Lame!Great game on PC and Xbox Séries X and PS5. Not so much on last generation machines. It's a 7.5 to 8 from what I played yet and never a 4.

CJQNSNYC1633d ago

It's a 7.5 or 8 to YOU. Reviews are based on different opinions. Your score can hardly be considered universal or the idea that people criticizing this game and it's developer are doing so only as part of a trend. What was promised, hyped, and aggressively marketed doesn't come close to what was delivered, as far as some of us are concerned, even without the performance issues.

RPG?

Not really.

RazzerRedux1633d ago

"It's a 7.5 or 8 to YOU. "

I think he made that abundantly clear with the word "I". Others agree with him, including myself.

"Your score can hardly be considered universal"

What score is "universal"? Seriously? IGN's score isn't "universal". Idiotic to suggest one opinion anywhere is "universal".

"What was promised, hyped, and aggressively marketed doesn't come close to what was delivered, as far as some of us are concerned, even without the performance issues."

Should deadfrag apologize because he enjoys the game more than you?

I love the game as well. You don't? Fine. Get a refund. /conversation

boing11633d ago

It's definitely not 4/10. Are you crazy?

RazzerRedux1633d ago

"Mean-spirited touches overwhelm the experience of Cyberpunk 2077. In one infiltration gone wrong, an opponent taunted me, daring me to come out of hiding with the false promise of ‘safe space’ while brandishing a shotgun. When I walked into a clothing store later, two dialog choices were presented to me: ask to see the shopkeeper’s wares, or insult their weight. The game has an endless litany of insults and mockery on reserve for women, queer people, and disabled folks. It never ceases in its dog whistles against the marginalized."

cry me a river of sjw tears.

SullysCigar1633d ago

No complaints about shooting people in the face, but name calling? That's TOO far!

RazzerRedux1633d ago

Didn't your mother teach you that shooting people in the face isn't the same as "mean-spirted touches"?

You are in timeout.....until CDPR removes face shooting.

Sheila Broflovski: Remember what the MPAA says; Horrific, Deplorable violence is okay, as long as people don't say any naughty woids!

ManMarmalade1633d ago

Funny because I made a male character and slept with a male joy toy.
You can literally make a girl character with a big peen.

Gatsu1633d ago (Edited 1633d ago )

All these who give the PC version such a low score, I don't know what you've been smoking.

Vx_1633d ago (Edited 1633d ago )

Nothing actually because the game issue isn’t just bugs, they need to fix the dumbest Ai in any aaa game, the worst physics were a 2013 open world game had done a much better job, the balancing and useless crafting system. This game is a beautiful trash bin to look at with bugs all over it.

Gatsu1633d ago

There's really no bugs here on PC and crafting isn't useless. Not sure what potato pc these dudes are using. Your comment is just a copy paste of what people say online too, which reminds me of TLOU2 launch, when people were just as dumb.

RazzerRedux1633d ago (Edited 1633d ago )

@Gatsu

"Your comment is just a copy paste of what people say online too, which reminds me of TLOU2 launch, when people were just as dumb."

Yep. Nothing he has said is first hand knowledge. He was making negative comments about the game before it even released. I asked him point blank why he wanted this game to be bad. No response. He is on some idiotic crusade. What is hilarious is that all his bullshit he can't say a damn thing about whether or not the game is fun or not. He'd actually have to play it know.

Look at his recent post history:

https://n4g.com/user/commen...

He is saying the same shit in every article over and over again. Dude is obsessed.

Releasing a Full Game On a Nintendo Switch 2 Cart Makes Sense

Begone, game-key carts. Full cartridges just work better and here's why.

Game key karts are just digital games.....why keep up the facade

Profchaos2d ago

I didn't bother buying any game key carts for my system despite my preference being physical.
I brought the mkw bundle and that was a digital code but I wasn't going to pay double for the game
I got yakuza 0 digitally as the key card made zero sense to me it costs more and its just a digital game in disguise (I never sell my games anyhow)

darthv722d ago

...obviously. If a game is 64gb or less, it should release on card. If it exceeds 64gb, the key card comes into play. It does suck that Nintendo wont support smaller cards, SW1 games came on anywhere from 8gb to 32gb cards. The cost of using a 64gb card for a game that would fit comfortably on a 32 or even 16 may not be cost effective for some smaller devs. Hence the use of the key card.

Then again, its taking a page out of Sony's book. They mandated the use of DVD media for all games a few years after the PS2 released. Until then, they supported games on CD. Then when it came to PS3, no game was allowed to use DVD, they all had to be bluray regardless.

Now with PS5, they only use UHD media, no regular bluray for games allowed. Even if the game is smaller than a DVD. So i can see Nintendo trying to standardize their game cards. If devs dont want to pay for the use... the key card is for them.

gigoran82d ago

why even bother buying one of the fake game cards? It's just going to be digital anyway. Save yourself the hassle of having to insert these fake cards and just buy it from the online store.

But I absolutely 100% do not agree with Nintendos take this generation. Forcing the new norm price point, and releasing a majority of their titles digitally with no sense of game preservation. Very disappointing.
