Update on EA Play: Coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC in 2021

From Xbox Wire: "When we originally set out to write this blog post, which would announce the availability of EA Play on PC with Xbox Game Pass, it looked a little bit different. Unfortunately, what had been a celebratory post is now one asking for a little more patience: We made the decision to delay until 2021 the release of EA Play on PC as part of the Xbox Game Pass for PC and Ultimate memberships.

We established this partnership with Electronic Arts because they are as passionate as we are about helping people and communities discover great games, and we knew we could provide a great experience for members by working together. In order to deliver on that, we need more time to provide the Xbox Game Pass experience."

EA has damn near become like a 2nd party for MSFT.

chiefJohn1171648d ago

Glad I don't have to buy ea games no more

MadLad1648d ago

The gift that keeps on giving.

BLow1648d ago

I'm so confused sometimes. One day everyone is hating on EA then you have people praising their service lol. Which is it? Do y'all like their games or not. Or is it just a talking point in the console wars lol. Funny stuff.

MrBeatdown1648d ago

I suspect different people have different opinions or something.

It's okay to like EA games while not liking EA or their practices. It's not that complicated.
Go feign your confusion elsewhere.

MadLad1647d ago

EA publishes good games.
They then tarnish them with bad practice.

Having their games added to an already good service is only a plus. You don't necessarily have to buy into their crap inserted into the games, and you're now not paying the entrance fee, which makes it easier to stomach either way.

If you get my meaning.

Cool. I feel like I'll be saving lots of money this generation. I might have to give up on consoles. All I need now is for Sony to release all their first party exclusives on PC day one and then I'm set.

mcstorm1647d ago

Pc has definitely got intresting again. I move to pc only last gen as felt underwelmed by the ps4 xbox one and switch. As well as having less time to game.

I ended up getting a pc and xbox gamepass and Origin pass as this fit my needs for games to pickup and play.

Pc is definitely becoming a player again and in a way could help consoles to pushing the tec alittle more.

The director of the original Silent Hill: “I look forward to seeing bold interpretations.”

Keiichiro Toyama—the creator and original director of the 1999 Silent Hill—shared his personal thoughts on the recently announced remake by Konami, reflecting on what the project means to him after more than two decades:
“I felt something similar when the game was adapted into a movie. It deeply moved me to see the names of the characters and locations I had created come to life visually, even though I wasn’t directly involved. That wouldn’t have been possible without the continued support of the fans and the dedication of the developers who’ve kept the series alive.
I’m really looking forward to seeing how the remake evolves this time. With the advanced technology we now have, I’m sure I’ll be surprised by how the game is reimagined. Since the original was built for the first PlayStation, there will naturally be challenges—like the camera and controls—but I’m eager to see bold and creative solutions to those elements.”

Haha Not only is bold and creatively not what the industry wants, it’s not what most people want.

They want to get scammed and pay twice for a thing they already own.

Nightcrawler895h ago

Hope they use his vision in the game

Inverno5h ago

Was the SH2 remake even bold? Or was it more or less just a 1 to 1 over the shoulder remake?

Pedrof5h ago

I wouldn't hold my breath on "bold".

Where to watch Capcom Spotlight, when it kicks off in your region, and what to expect

Capcom Spotlight is just around the corner: tune in to see the latest titles being shown off by the Japanese masters.

SockeyBoy5h ago

I feel a new DMC on the horizon.

thorstein2h ago(Edited 2h ago)

New IP, please. Used to be (in the 80s) if it was a Capcom game, you knew it was good.

jznrpg1h ago

Pragmata is a new IP so there’s that. Another one would be nice though

Babadook712m ago(Edited 12m ago)

Honestly Capcom is still somewhat of a seal of quality for me.

shinXseijuro8m ago

Trust me I’m a Capcom baby. Got fond memories of Megaman and all the good library they had on snes 😂 . I always felt bummed Capcom shunned Megaman tho ever since inafune left the company . Pragmata seems like it’s a new Megaman sort of
