I can see alot of people giving the switch version alot of stick but I'm impressed with it. We know the hardware is not in the same power bracket as the Xbox one s but as a portable games ide say they have done a good job.

Neonridr1646d ago

I say it all the time to people who ask. The device is a fraction of the size and yet it's capable of running the game, even with some concessions.

ChristianReggieWait1645d ago

It's crazy how well it runs all things considered!

NeoGamer2321646d ago (Edited 1646d ago )

Ya, a lot of people don't realize where we have come from the past two decades.

Just compare any shooter game from the early 2000's to Switch now and you'd be totally happy with Switch.

Compare a newer game on XSX or PS5 and ya it is an obvious downgrade but not at all unacceptable,

ChristianReggieWait1645d ago

Not at all, it's a great port but people need to be aware that they won't get a current gen experience.

PrimeVinister1645d ago

100% agree. The visual downgrade is just that. Visual.

A port of a game from a powerful system to something older and far less powerful used to guarantee changes to content or a different engine.

ChristianReggieWait1645d ago

Considering it's just that and a slight dip in frame rate, it's a great port.

ChristianReggieWait1645d ago

Absolutely! But the comparisons show the differences so people can make an informed decision. It's a massive achievement for Panic Button in any case

Despite being visually compromised, its a really solid version of Doom Eternal. By far, Panic Buttons best port. This game also shows Nintendo needs to update the hardware in the Switch

Neonridr1646d ago (Edited 1646d ago )

I'm ready for a Pro model for sure. Honestly with the way Panic Button has been handling ports for the Switch, it might not be a bad idea for Nintendo to consider purchasing them.

ChristianReggieWait1645d ago

A great idea, but it may affect partnerships with Bethesda. That being said, Xbox have a great relationship with Ninty?

ChristianReggieWait1645d ago

Correct, The Switch is due a hardware refresh. Maybe we'll get some Switch Pro news in 2021?

ZeekQuattro1646d ago

I can't remember the last time a game was rumored to be canceled only to have it turn around and release shortly after "insiders" said otherwise. Lol Anyway this is another impressive port.

ChristianReggieWait1645d ago

It's a cracking feat that DooM Eternal runs mostly at 30FPS on Switch.

rlow11646d ago

Looks good and it's impressive that it's on the switch.

ChristianReggieWait1645d ago

Panic Button have a strong future ahead of them!

A miracle according to some. Fair play, Panic Button
