Today sega hosted a livestream dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the Yakuza franchise, and Sega sgared a few tidbits about the future of the series, while also announcing the PS5 version of Yakuza: Like a Dragon "International" for Japan.
Fantastic. Like a Dragon has become my favorite in the series! Ichiban is such a great character.
You'd almost think Sega had been taken over by the REAL Yakuza. As a fan of their previous consoles, do they make anything else? Can I get a next gen Shinobi? Phantasy Star 5 or Skies of Arcadia 2? Jet Set Radio 3? I guess not.
I'd love to have those new games but I also like yakuza games lol
Yakuza has been a nearly annual series since its inception. If anything, they have slowed down slightly. They make plenty other things. Maybe you just ignore them.
No. Their output is slow. And they have others make games like Streets of Rage 4. I've been around long enough as a Sega fan, probably longer than you, to know the Dream Team developers Sega had in the past in the arcade, and that competed with Nintendo, are way better than what they have today. Their output today is weak. Proof being them trying to change back to what they were. They wouldn't have to if they were doing better. From the CEO himself https://60th.sega.com/segas... **However, in recent years, I think the major issue is that we have not been able to provide content that surprises the world.** Maybe you can ignore it and think you know better. You don't.
Lol "probably longer than you." No. I guarantee that's not the case. Didn't see you hanging around much in threads dedicated to Sakura Wars or Valkyria Chronicles.
Been a fan since day one but I'm probably done with the series after the turn based direction. funny enough, you only see boomers crying about the lack of turn based games on the internet.
