For those who put money down to secure a 9th-gen console, the incompetence of some of the biggest retailers around is more than just an inconvenience.
Well said. To be fair though, it was abit of a perfect storm... the first time round. By the time the second time pre-orders went live, there simply was no excuse. OSny has said there will be one more stock updtae before hte year runs out. Honestly, if online retailers haven't sorted themelves out by then, they really don't deserve the sails. The real trajedy of this whole situation isn't even the scalpers, it's the fact that people's order were getting outright stolen by Amazon delivery drivers and warehouse staff, and Amazon seem completely incompetent to do anything about it. It's just a really unacceptable state of affairs, and I'm really surprised they've been allowed to get away with it. At least it is now being formally investgated https://www.thesixthaxis.co...
That is true. A perfect storm. Some of this is just not anyone's fault at all. The pandemic caused a lot of new people to now stay in all day and play video games. IMO, there is also a gigantic surge in demand. Nearly everybody wants one of these things for one reason or another and nobody can get one. Many want one very badly. It is not surprising to me that this happened. I told my brother early-pandemic that I didn't think we would be able to get a PS5 until next Christmas because of the perfect storm I saw brewing. We got one, got lucky, but it is still bad.
