But probably a bit later than 2022...
Faster better stronger.
Bigger, Badder, Better from the famous Neo Geo ad :D https://ibb.co/9TQ4vnY But in this case Smaller, Badder, Better :P

China Wants TSMC
China wants everything.
Your 3080's and 3090's are already obsolete, gotta love PC gaming.
They don't even use the TSMC node for the 30 series. They used Samsung's 8nm node while AMD is on the TSMC 7nm node and most likely AMD will use this 3nm TSMC node before Nvidia does. AMD is already planned to use TSMC's 5nm node for RDNA3 for next year. Nvidia better jump back to TSMC or they will be in for a rude awakening from AMD.
Yes no doubt you'll find that the next top end card is $1500+ But then you'll also have the same situation again where RTX3080 performance instead of costing $700 will cost probably $350. There are major stock shortfalls right now for GPUs but they won't last forever. When the dust settles by spring you'll be able to have a choice of an RTX3060Ti which is a $400 card faster than a previously $700 2080 Super, or RTX3070 for $500 that's as fast an RTX2080Ti, a card that was $1200 12 months before that. Don't say there is no progress.
AMD reaches for the cheque book and telephone...
😳 wow that's awesome 2022 3nm process crazy stuff.
