Most cards from AMD & Nvidia went to YouTube tech reviewers. They have so many yet the public has hardly any lol. Probably the majority went to scalpers, which should be illegal and carry a crazy fine.
Nvidia said as much even releasing a statement saying not everyone who wants a 3000 series card will be able to get one this year. Not sure they can be blamed for it. Would you rather have no one be able to get one until they could manufacture enough? I could ask the same question regarding PS5/XBSX? I'm glad they released them when they did, it took me a few tries but very, very happy to have my 3090 (for work and play). Would love to have a PS5 but haven't been able to get one yet.
Waited in a queue for 2 months for a 3080 (others are looking like they will get an even longer wait for certain models), arrived this week. Hopefully people waiting for the new AMD cards will get them sooner
I kid you not, it's like people here where I live don't even know these new CPUs and GPUS are out, I just walked into one of our local PC store here and picked up the R5 5600X. And they have 2 3090, 2 3080 and like 5 3070 laying on the shelf LOL! I didn't pick up any of the GPU though as I wanted to wait for the 6800 to be available and they don't know when it will come. it's indeed a paper launch for AMD
I should've just bought the RTX 3080 when I could.
AMD really dropped the ball, especially in the UK.

So basically what NVidia did .
