Cyberpunk 2077 won't support raytracing on AMD cards at launch

But CDPR is working with AMD to get it in soon.

The story is too old to be commented.

The update might come along with next-gen console update.
All AMD platforms get RT during the same time-frame.

This is understandable. Nvidia has a fairly mature platform in terms of ray tracing and AMD is just getting started with theirs.

Well if that’s the case then maybe the wait for the next gen updates won’t take so long! Hopefully :-/

....but..HOW? Oh wise one, please share your ways.

By watching the chat on https://www.nowinstock.net/...

Someone said that newegg had randomly posted some aorus 3080 masters on ebay for retail price, I was quick enough to order one.

Godfall has raytracing only on AMD right now. It's fair for Cyberpunk to have raytracing only on NVIDIA at launch. Fair is fair. The fact that one game sucks massive **** in comparison shouldn't matter.

I mean there is abit of a difference one was designed with a console as lead platform as a timed exclusive for that console (which uses AMD hardware) that also released on pc the other was designed as a multiplatform game from the start releasing on past and next gen consoles all using amd tech. Then there is the developers themselves and their reputation and size... CD project red are the better developers and are larger and frankly I expect more from them.

Cyberpunk 2077 is not having a next gen launch yet though? It will work on next gen consoles through bc. Next gen versions are expected some time next year. At least that is what Cdproject announced a while back.

well i have a 2070 super so this works out for me luckily. There is one problem though. I don't know if I'll be able to have high settings and also have ray tracing and still reach 60fps. We will see. May have to go to 1080p instead of 2k resolution
