Tomb Raider Reloaded Brings Classic Lara Croft to Mobile Devices

Tomb Raider Reloaded has been announced as a new game in the iconic franchise featuring Lara Croft, but it's not quite what you think — this brand-new game has a very different look from the modern titles.

I'm currently playing Tomb Raider Anniversary on my Xbox Series S. The reboots were good games, but since then I've craved a return to traditional Tomb Raider and they lost that essence. I would absolutely LOVE a Tomb Raider 2 & 3 Remake for next gen consoles.

I think TR lost its soul when it’s gameplay focused a lot on gunfights. It was there, in older games sure, but the old TR focused on puzzles and platforming. I mostly remember exploring vast tombs and ancient cities while trying not to die from random flying darts or spears.

But what is "getting Tomb Raider right"?

My book its exploration, figuring out environmental puzzles that include death traps and random animal/monster encounters. Didn't really get that in the last few games. More like torture porn and in-between lamenting for all of the people she kills.

I think this actually looks pretty neat. It's too bad it's only locked to mobile, but maybe it will eventually come to other platforms. That's what happened with the Hitman Go and Lara Croft Go games, if I'm not wrong. There may be hope! Though I definitely want to see some gameplay, just to be sure I actually want to look forward to that possibility.

Looks more like a Nickelodeon/Cartoon Network cartoon series than an actual game, I bet it will be free to play with lots of those beloved🤑 micro transactions... 😩
