Did Your Xbox Series X Screws Fall Out Too?

After months of waiting for an Xbox Series X, I find mine has a loose screw with no indication as to where it goes or how to fix it. What would you do?

Is this not essentially just a blog post. There are no reports of this being a widespread issue. This is not news and not even editorial in nature. Basically just a status update on one individuals xbox who isn't prominent figure in gaming

LordoftheCritics107d ago

Sounds like they screwed up.

Sorry not sorry

Bathyj107d ago

Is anyone surprised they have a few screws loose?

Play me out Johnny.

WelkinCole107d ago

Well someone must have lost a screw

DarXyde107d ago

Nailed it.

Such a riveting reply!

Ms is just screwing around with us.. 😬 I for one am not surprised about this. After all, they did release a black tool box 😜🤣 oh man, I crack myself up.

Well ACG's PS5 just stopped working completely so yes there are problems with the PS5 as well.

SullysCigar107d ago

Yes, because he was using external storage before it was patched.

Falling screw? did something like this occur in the previous generations.

If that happened to me and a defect arises, The retailer will never accept the unit for warranty, they will insist that I tried to open the system and my warranty is voided.

Smclaren1985107d ago

There not rushed they where made in plenty of time. Microsoft only made around 3million Sony made 10. Both kept the number of units low because of the build cost for each. They where made in plenty of time. Hopefully it’s just a bad batch

OptimusDK107d ago

The answer to that stupid question is no there was no screw. No problems at all.

Rocketisleague106d ago

I miss the days where you could just put the screw in the disk tray and the console would take care of it. Manufacturers need to get there crap together

I would just immediately send it back, no telling how that will affect the console.

Parasyte107d ago

Surely this would be covered under warranty

KingofBandits107d ago

no way in hell I'd be sending a brand new console back to the repair warehouse. Exchange for another brand new one only. MS's Xbox repair shops are absolute low grade trash, have been since 360.

tontontam0107d ago

Nope the retailer will not accept the return , they will onsist that you tried to open the system and that screw os proof.

darthv72107d ago (Edited 107d ago )

Like Bender says... "screws fall out all the time" (breakfast club reference for all the young folk out there).

I'd put it back in but its a chassis screw so it wont impact performance.

I dunno man, i've seen similar screws holding anything from cooling fans to power supplies and even the disc drives while repairing consoles. None of which you want having any give/wiggle. I would just send it back

Better be careful, that's the screw that holds the duct tape in place!
