Prob not but just like with WiiU games going to the Switch.... not many played them on their initial platform. Even though FH4 is still the same game, only now enhanced by the Series S/X, you'd be surprised how many skipped out on an xbox one this gen. so to them, it is a new experience and it really is a great game that more people should play. Who knows.... maybe the Series line will garner a better attach rate than the xbo did. I'm not saying it will double the one but it certainly can be much more received this time around.
It's basically the PC version from two years ago. On the ultra preset I was getting 4K and 60FPS with a GTX1080 when the game launched end of 2018. So it should do that with the updates.
Feels like an age ago now, was a great game. Hope they have a proper next gen sequel in the works.
I can confirm that a 1080 was doing this. That's what I played the game on for a bit and it's seriously a great optimization on PC. One of the best looking games I've played on it
Never owned a xbox, but ordered the Series S as my third console, beside Ps5 and Switch, to play game pass and xbox games I’ve never played. But what I’ve come to notice is that Microsoft and developers never let you know how Series S will run games. Like this trailer for example, it only let you know the specs for Series X. What’s new with Forza on Series S?? Finding the fps count and resolution for Valhalla turned out to be terribly hard aswell.
Yeah, it does say X|S in the title but then it goes on to say '4K ultra hd at 60fps on series S' and the specifications for the S iis never mentioned.
I’ve only played Forza for a few hours on my not too gamer friendly lap top and I was surprised how good it was. It’s actually the main reason I pre ordered the S in the first place. Though I can’t wait to play Halo and Gears for the first time also.
After watching this vid from MVG... the Series S may end up surprising a lot of people. Esp if people only think of it as being lesser than a one X. https://www.youtube.com/wat...
I think MS has to get the XSS out there and prove that it isn't going to hold back the generation. If they can it will become a really good console. But if they can't it will go down as a failure.
The problem they face that only time will tell. And people are holding back because nobody knows for certain so it isn't being bought in droves. But, two or three years from now, if third parties don't complain about it and first parties deliver really good games on it, then it will start to take off. Also at that time it might be near a $100 price point which would also drive more people to buy it.
It's actually not that hard to calculate how Serie S will perform Take the best visual presentation with framerate (ex. 4K with 30 frames) of the Serie X and change the resolution for 1080P. So If the game runs with full details at 4K/60 frames per seconds you can expect 1080P/60 frames 4k/30 frames with raytracing/ 1080P /30 frames with raytracing
This game is amazing plus its on Gamepass too. The update for the Series X looks great. I will be playing this all over again as the 1st time was amazing on the One X. I will buy the lego expansion plus the extra island to. If I had a very good pc 9 months ago but bought a much better one with a great graphics card this week, what is so bad about playing this game on your new pc with a much better GPU.
Ok, quick update... I played forza in perfomance mode on my One x , and just played on my series s , graphics look to be more vibrant ,but not a massive difference , the performance of the game seems improved, feels a lot zippier... and the car load times and fast travel times are virtually non existent .. overall it provides a better experience compared to the one x perfomance mode , so far I’m pleased ...
Ps. Just noticed the ray tracing... excels over the one x version
But even for free this suck because it's not like playing ultra HD with ultra HD settings and Ultra HD texture on PC according to certain console reviewer. https://www.shacknews.com/a... It would have been better if they would have remastered it and sold it stand alone as a next-gen experience because that what ppl who buy successful console expect.
Do these upgrades get re-reviewed?

This is literally the first title I am playing tomorrow. Best driving game of the generation, now with extended life and 60FPS YES!!!!
