PS5 Remote Play Feature Pops Up On PS4

Sony appears to have plans to let you stream your PS5 on PlayStation 4, considering that a dedicated app just appeared.

Ok I we given some thought, maybe if I have a PS5, and my friend has Ps4... than I can say hey dude, when I'm out, I can give you a code to pair it up...so you can play PS5.
Maybeeeee in that case is fine, but he will have lag, and who knows what quality...
But... eventually give your friend a Ps5 I mean what's the point.
I don't see another scenario.

Edit: but don't you have to be on the same Psn acc? I that case no point in this.

Say you have only one PS5 but also a PS4. You can set your PS4 somewhere else in the house and play your PS5 games in two different rooms.

It's like people who have steam boxes for steam streaming away from their PC.

With lowered fidelity which, right now, defeats the point of a next-gen experience. An option is an option, though. Wouldn't be touting this. Remote play from PS4 hasn't been an option though. kinda interesting

This is is great feature. If my PS5 is in the living room connected to the large TV and my family is watching something - I can stream games to my PS4 in my bedroom. it's a feature I'll use from time to time.

Exactly, i do this with my PSVita TV on the downstairs television. So i wont "ignore my family" i can stream ps4 from the PSVita TV in the living room while my fam watches movies and whatnot.

So can i play ps5 games remotely using a ds4? Sony said that i cant use my ds4's for ps5 as they "are not compatible"
