Watching comparison vids I really can't see much difference but I'll be trying it out for myself

RaiderNation1258d ago

You don't see the difference between 30fps and 60fps??

Grave1258d ago

Exaclty. So much smoother wow!

Rocketisleague1258d ago

Much better to experience when playing imo

himdeel1257d ago

Just finished my 1st play through and waiting for ng+ on the PS5. Definitely smoother on the 5. Them frames!

SmokinAces1258d ago (Edited 1258d ago )

I'd imagine it would be difficult to see a major difference though this highly compressed internet video, I'm sure actaully playing it on PS5 would make it very noticeable.

Eidolon1258d ago

The framerate is obvious, though.

DOMination-1258d ago

It will make a big difference but I agree that you'll only really appreciate it playing it yourself than watching on YouTube.

fr0sty1257d ago

I highly doubt they replaced all the assets with next gen features... you might get higher res shadows, maybe better global illumination, and faster frame rate, but I wouldn't expect much more beyond that. The game looks mind blowing as-is, though.

Eidolon1258d ago (Edited 1258d ago )

Really just the framerate(30 to 60) but that's a matter of preference. I don't think it was a smooth 30fps, IMO. Would be great to have native 4K, 30fps with added fidelity/graphical features. But it is an amazing looking game as is.
There were some scenes that looked to be crisper/higher res on the PS5 side, but could be my mind playing tricks on me.

Felix_Argyle_Catbro1258d ago

30fps is garbage, it's good that you're not getting it.

Eidolon1258d ago (Edited 1258d ago )

Depends on the game, sometimes it can take from the immersion. Bet you haven't seen too many 60FPS films and said it looks better than theatre(24fps).

Edgelordsupreme1258d ago (Edited 1258d ago )

Don't mind Felix, he's an eccentric person.

porkChop1258d ago

The only difference is the framerate.

SmokinAces1258d ago

Pretty outstanding difference considering how incredible the game already looked.

FinalFantasyFanatic1257d ago (Edited 1257d ago )

Really? There's a big difference between frame rate (you should be able to spot the frame rate). I can understand not spotting the extra detail since I assume we're not watching this video at 4k though (it looks subtle in this video).

n-skyline1258d ago

It looks pretty much the same to me. I finished it on the original ps4 though so even the ps4 pro version would be an improvement for me. Best game I have played in years

Felix_Argyle_Catbro1258d ago

The frame rate is the difference, and it's a big one.

n-skyline1258d ago

Im looking forward to new game plus at 60 frames per second on the PS5. Im enjoying the legends mode and I rarely ever play the online elements to games

KeenBean3451258d ago

I cant wait to play this in 60fps again, top 3 of the generation for me

ExBee1258d ago

GoT really doesn't need any extra boost unless the tech is miles better, the load times for GoT was already insane

Vanfernal1258d ago

Doubling the framerate is pretty significant.

rlow11258d ago

Smoother and better lighting is the main benefit I see. But that shouldn't be a surprise considering the power difference between the two consoles. Makes a great game even more enjoyable.

I would be on it. Especially if they change up the gameplay to differentiate from first game. Loved the first.

Currently enjoying Rise of Ronin.

blackblades20d ago

Both have different gameplay but it amazes me how people kept comparing just because they both are samurai. Seems kinda ...... that im not gonna mention.

Cacabunga20d ago

Bend studios making a gaas game and getting lot of negative comments abt that direction.
I hope these stay faithful to making amazing SP games..

Demetrius20d ago

Definitely getting ronin soon, I'm on my 2nd playthrough of GOT on ps5 this time🔥

-Foxtrot21d ago

Probably my most anticipated to be announced

I hope Jinns story continues and we get way more stealth tactics like dragging bodies away and the like.

Lightning7721d ago

I fully expect this game to be announced. Late 2025 release perhaps.

Either way I can't wait for its announcement at Sony's showcase.

Friendlygamer20d ago (Edited 20d ago )

I'm hoping for more complex interior level design for stealth gameplay and also a more complex stance system that's more than rock paper and scissor for each enemy type

RhinoGamer8820d ago

I have stopped pre-ordering games since Cyberpunk 2077 fiasco...this is a game I will make an exception for...

Ghost of Tsushima is one of my favorite games all time. Hard to live up to that. Not all games are going to be equivalent to some of the best games ever and that’s ok. It is a natural comparison though

Killer2020UK21d ago

Totally agree, as a jaded gamer well into his 30s I didn't think games could hit like Ghost it Tsushima did. I actively avoided story missions in order to pursue every single side quest purely because I didn't want it to end. I wanted to be immersed in that world for as long as it lasted.

JangoMan19d ago

I hate open world games. Its clutter and fatigue. Except GoT.. I completed every thing before going into next main mission. The feeling of playing the game was.... I cant explain. It was perfect

raWfodog20d ago

My favorite jaw-dropping moment was obtaining the Ghost stance. Epic.

JangoMan19d ago

Agreed. Its the dream come true for fans of Samurai and Japan feudal age.

Andrew33621d ago

Got was good but super repetitive.

Juiceid20d ago

Arguably every game is repetitive.

Rise Of The Rōnin review - Ghost of Nioh - Metro

An enjoyable counterpart to Ghost Of Tsushima, with some truly excellent combat, but the bloated open world elements can often suffocate your enjoyment.
