I can't wait to finally get my hands on a PS5 when they become available to the general public... sometime next year.

Einhander19711681d ago

Has to be one troll on here, ps5 is more than capable of raytracing. Obviously this game looks so good it doesn't need it.

Demon's Souls is the game we're all waiting for, not Cyberdunk, etc. Yes, I spelled it that way on purpose.

Cybercrunch...ok I admit I lol’d!

TitaniumExposed_VIP1681d ago

Its not a competition between those two, dimwit

Also there is no "We" speak for yourself

nickanasty2061681d ago

Dude don't get me wrong, Demon's Souls looks incredible, but Cyberpunk is a brand new game not just a remake. After everything we have seen from Cyberpunk, not really sure how you could hate on it before you've even played it. Demon's Souls is going to be awesome, but isn't a brand new experience like Cyberpunk will be.

SmokinAces1680d ago

I mean I'm waiting for both but whatever floats your goat I guess, lol.

nickanasty2061680d ago

Agreed, must have both for sure. We sort of know what to expect from Demon Souls already though since BluePoint have said they really just stuck on building the game ground up to feel like the original experience. In general FromSoft games tend to be fairly niche as well, as most, including myself will get it just because it is new, but probably will get frustrated and not go forward with finishing the game because of its designed punishing nature (i've never been good or got past the learning curve of a FromSoft game). In no way am i saying i dislike Demon's Souls, I am just saying the game and way it is designed is meant for its core audience. Cyberpunk will be more story driven and likely encompass a wider variety of the gaming audience not solely based on the purpose it is a multi-platform release.

Absolutely both in my eyes. Don't miss out on a good gaming experience, but mainly don't write off CyberPunk. I think CyberPunk is going to be a revelation in gaming like reviewers think the Dual Sense is a revelation in the controller world. I try to not get my hopes up too much, but just from what i have seen with CyberPunk, it makes me think more and more that this is going to be like Half-Life 2 was for PC back in the day.

Platinumed it on ps3, Then platinumed all other souls games after. will do it again on ps5. I am the souls lord.

ziggurcat1681d ago

I wish I had taken the time to platinum the game on PS3. I think I still could, but I'm unsure since the servers are no longer active. If it's still possible, I guess it'd be less annoying not having to deal with invaders?

whitbyfox1681d ago

It’s actually much easier now to platinum it because you can manipulate world tendency and you can exploit the pre-patch glitches.

ziggurcat1681d ago (Edited 1681d ago )

I never got the hang of world tendency, so I don’t quite know how to correctly manipulate that :(

P_Bomb1680d ago (Edited 1680d ago )

@zig
At Christmas for example, it would automatically go to pure white. As long as you played offline after that, you could keep it pure white indefinitely. Years. Same with pure black at Halloween. We’ll see if it still works that way on PS5.

Sunny123451680d ago

When I platinumed it, it was a pain. It will be much easier now though.

Smclaren19851680d ago (Edited 1680d ago )

Hahaha Man how many controllers did you break?!🥵lolI never played the original. The dark souls games are just beyond the point of difficulty that I don’t enjoy if I’m honest but I I’m definitely going to get this and give it a go as it looks stunning

whitbyfox1679d ago

No controllers broke, but my mental state did a few times 🤣 Hope you enjoy, and can always summon people to help which is all part of the fun.

Pretentious1680d ago

I feel you man. Once you get hooked on these games, it's hard to stop. I need mooore.

whitbyfox1679d ago

Absolutely! Not long now.

I so badly want to play this game but I tried it on ps3 and it was too hard and was a huge turn off for me.
Really wish there was an easy mode. Even if it did something like excluded you from unlocking any trophies.

Magatsuhi1681d ago

The game is about overcoming adversity and learning from your mistakes. If you want a walk in the park game where it holds your hand all the way through then this game is not for you.

PLAYWATCH761681d ago

It's easier when you play in COOP. I have a friend who would never play Souls game because they are too difficulty, but he was able to finish Bloodborne because of COOP.

XDefiant and former CoD lead quits the games industry after Ubisoft killed their shooter

Mark Rubin, the lead designer of Ubisoft’s now-dead free-to-play shooter XDefiant, has left the games industry following his project’s death.

Goodguy013d ago

Going to ubisoft was your mistake

TheColbertinator1d 14h ago

So much wrong with Xdefiant. At one point they started using the worst ideas for their game and FPS fans saw it in the previews.

SpacedDuck1d 14h ago

No offense but if Xdefiant represents your best the industry is better off for it.

"We had other issues though as well that we tried to be transparent about. For one we had crippling tech debt using an engine that wasn’t designed for what we were doing...Another issue we had was having the right resources to make content for the game."

Ubi set them up for failure out of the gate. And he says they had stuff in the pipes that should have been at launch means Ubi rushed it out and the devs didn't.

The creator of Balatro says microtransactions "makes me want to put my computer in the dishwasher."

Localthunk: "The honest reason I don't have microtransactions/season pass/ads/100 DLCs/etc in Balatro isn't just about the ethics of those practices but because when I play other games that have those things it makes me want to put my computer in the dishwasher and set it to pots & pans."
