Sony Interactive Entertainment has trademarked Soho Engine in Europe, leading to speculation as to what this could be for.

Can you actually imagine?? I hold out hope for a revival every time there's a big conference and It has yet to come to fruition. It boggles my mind the PS3 game was cancelled because what they showed looked amazing for the time - I'm sure it would have been a smash hit.

It was my feeling that they hit technical limitations with development. With the market dominance they currently hold I think the timing is perfect to bring this back!

I do recall that PS3 game was entirely pre rendered and the actual project was essentially stuck but what better time than now to rebuild

Me too! Sony studios have pretty much mastered the third person/action genre at this point. Seeing all the advancements they've made over the years since the last Getaway game would be huge and this is coming from someone who is burned out on samey open world game.

Soho Engine could also be a VR engine used for future titles like Blood and Truth 2 that may have been completed after Blood and Truth released.

VR needs game engines from Sony too besides having the option of using third party ones like Unity and UE5.

Blood and Truth 2 could be as big an open world game like Getaway as proven by games like L.A. Noire VR.
