I’m waiting for the Horizon, TLOU 2, Death Stranding, and UC 4.

Bring it on Sony!!!

RaiderNation88d ago

Same. Also...

Uncharted Lost Legacy
Days Gone
Horizon Zero Dawn

VenomUK88d ago

That's what I like to hear!
I wonder what patch we'll hear about on Monday.

lost legacy suck !, you feel like a strong independent woman after playing it looool,
uncharted 4 is way better at least you're playing with Nathan

RaiderNation87d ago

@osamaq

Lost Legacy was better than 4. Has nothing to do with the main protagonists being women. That stuff makes no difference to me but clearly it matters to you.

I’m imagining upper management pounding the desk trying to get these devs to get all of the back compat patches out in crunch time before ps5 release

It shouldn't be that hard I don't think they're "crunching" whatsoever.... Both systems uses the same x86 architecture, it's like running and old PC game on your newest PC.

godashram87d ago

A lot of people don't seem to grasp that. Sony already said 99% of the ps4 library should work, I doubt every game will need a patch because if they did, then that 99% would be a lot lower. On the plus side, since I never finished this game, It may be time for another go at it, well, after the PS5 is delivered :)

Not quite. x86, yes, but there's a pretty stark contrast between GCN and Navi. So much so that you cannot compare TF at all. It's one reason why Series S can outperform Pro and One X.

For the purposes of backwards compatibility, you are correct and your point stands. But more than anything, the potential performance gains are likely to be monstrous if they put the work in. I believe Druckmann stated The Last of Us could have run around 80-90fps on PS4, but now, I suspect it can have maximum visual settings, ray tracing, and HDR at 90+ fps.

I am curious if those are actual bug fixes or "performance" patches. Like, [email protected] patches which is a really low hanging fruit for most. Would be awesome if that is indeed the case.

I just want a patch for Driveclub and The Order 1886, please make it happen Sony.

Abnor_Mal88d ago

I would love a DriveClub patch for the PS5, but hopes are not high. I guess I can be happy if both the base and vr games are back compatible.

Ratchet7587d ago

A patch for Driveclub Vr would be even better

Skate-AK87d ago

Driveclub is definitely not going to happen. They shut the servers off and removed all the DLC earlier this year.

Futureshark87d ago

As with the other games patched, I reckon this unlocks the frame rate on the 4K mode, so letting PS5 run it at 4K60fps (if it recognises it's running on a PS5).

The-Matrix-has-you87d ago

Man I sure hope so! Would be really cool to play through it again like that! I can’t remember does this game have HDR?

spirited87d ago

I hope sony exclusives have 60fps patch
