The Darkest Dungeon 2 release date has been set for 2021, although it's not all good news for PC players who prefer a certain storefront: this upcoming sequel will be a timed Epic Games Store exclusive.

I personally didn't enjoy 2 as much as I did 1. Actually didn't even finish it.
I do praise that they didn't just carbon copy the 1st game and added more of everything, but I think that during the process a lot of what made Darkest Dungeon appealing to put a ton of hours in, was lost.
The new mode does look cool and I will definitely jump back into it and try it out.

If your a fan of the first one you should google what fans think of the second one. Apparently they aren't even simular games.
Meaning I'll get it when it comes to GoG or Steam. I'll get it on Epic if they make it free once they're about to leave timed exclusivity, which they sometimes do.
That's really the only value I find in their storefront - accepting free games.
