Anyka Pettigrew writes, "Let's compare the PS5 and Xbox Series X UI elements. After the PS5 UI was revealed in a first look video by Sony, we now know what both consoles' home menus and user experience will look and feel like. There are many interesting elements, from customization, community, and style. Here are the pros and cons of each console's UI."
Even Shift Up admits Stellar Blade's story isn't the best, and also confirmed the in-development story DLC has now been shifted to the sequel.
Good to see the devs acknowledge it. Thoguht the gameplay was fun but I could really care less for Eve or any of the characters. Hopefully the sequel will give Eve actual personality.
I thought it was a decent enough but there is room for improvement for sure. There were a few good side quest stories hidden in there, so hopefully they add more of those in the next game.
I like devs who are self critical. That means they want to be better so they can make a better game and that’s music to my ears. .
Fans need not worry: the next-generation Xbox console will support backward compatibility at a hardware level.
Its gonna have to offer a lot more than backwards compatibility or else it'll just be a repeat of the last 2 generations.
I’m just not that excited for “next gen” consoles. Gaming has officially hit the phone model market. Base release, pro release, sequel. And you can even argue that the sequel for some is just a pro release.
Switch 2 is a switch pro. Xbox next will be the Xbox pro(if you don’t already consider the X as the pro since the s is the dominate on their market share).
I am pretty sure I can wait until ps6 pro at this point because my ps5 pro and base will play everything they will get with the exception of 1 or 2 games in the first year.
Day 1 for me, 22 years with xbox and besides the 360 debacle, never let me down, also saved tons of money.
Every time one of these “well, obviously” statements pops up like in article form, I wonder who it’s even for. Then I check the comments and remember, console players, proudly lost in the settings menu, still trying to figure out what HDR is.
And suddenly, those "articles" make perfect sense
Marathon was slated to launch on Sept. 23, 2025 across Xbox, PC, and PlayStation, but Bungie will share the new release date in the fall.
If they were absolutely certain about the quality of Marathon, then they had not delayed it just now.
So they've basically just confirmed what everyone, well, a lot of people saw: Marathon is not ready yet, still no soul to be seen.
Here is something I don't get with these websites, they're making a comparison, why don't they just say which one is better? why is it always, regardless of whatever system you buy you'll win either ways. Just give a direct answer as to what you prefer.
And the comparison is really incomplete as Sony has still a lot of updates and features yet to reveal.
I leave my Xbox One X on all day, so I'm staring at it's UI quite a bit. It's great, but it doesn't excite me. The Xbox Series S/X is going to be using that same UI. I have a problem with that. If I'm spending $500 on a new console, I want that console to offer me a NEW experience. Staring at the same UI I'm use to seeing does nothing for me. That PS5, tho.. now that's something NEW. The PS4 has been my secondary console the last few years - it was my primary till I got my X and adapted 4K, and I liked it's UI, but Sony looks to have really nailed a cosmetically pleasing, interactive, informative UI with the PS5 worth looking at. I'm super excited for it.
I'm excited about this new UI on the PS5. 23 more days until some of us that are buying the PS5 on launch can tinker around with it.
Did i miss something?
Have they shown the launch Series X UI? I thought they have said the Series X UI will not be the same as the xbox one's?
Sony goes all out with a forward looking and feature packed UI at 4K and HDR to boot andnis actually a stark evolution to their XMB they first introduced with the PSP while MS is hanging on to the past gen and doesn't look like they are trying too hard.
If it ain't broken, don't fix it, right? But doesn't mean you can't always try to make it better.
