Cyberpunk 2077 Requires The Player To Boost Certain Stats Before Stealing Cars

Cyberpunk 2077 offers some elements similar to Grand Theft Auto 5 like driving around in cars and stealing them, but it is not as easy at the start.

One more month before this masterpiece comes out. Cant wait.

philm871697d ago

Just want to have some idea of when the full next gen patch comes out, at the moment I'm hoping early 2021.

poppatron1697d ago

Me too! But also really interested to see how it looks on current gen, and in turn how it’ll look on the ps5 pre next gen patch.

They have to show us... right?

philm871697d ago

I imagine the optimisation work is in full flow for the day one patch on current gen, they'll want to get that right before showing it. It's going to be a bit of a downgrade from what's been shown, but current gen is still capable of some great graphics, just so much going on in the Cyberpunk 2077 world though.

RaidenBlack1697d ago (Edited 1697d ago )

Same ... I am also very curious as how well this is going to run on the base consoles especially the OG XBOne, since it's even more underpowered than the One S and obviously the PS4 ...

This games will best played on next gen consoles but in the meantime ps4 pro and x1x is the best choice for those who cant snag a new console

I really can’t wait for this, Iv tempered my expectations a little though as it’s the most hyped game in history. I can’t think of a better game to play day one on my shiny new ps5. Wish it was taking full advantage though but it seems the first patch will boost the resolution and frame rate with full patch later. I’m happy with that , it’s very rare we get such a great game as a launch title.

SDuck1697d ago

Even though i'm not too onboard with the fact it's only first person even though it goes third person while driving and i'm not a big first person fan, I can't control the hype for this game

Sirk7x1696d ago

It's hard for third person with futuristic games like this. Imagine playing Deus Ex, and trying to interact with dozens of different objects that are vertical; It's not very precise. Even in Witcher 3, there were tons of times where I just couldn't pick up an object due to weird camera and cursor placement. I bet they tried for third person at first when they were doing test builds, and it didn't feel right. It probably would have been their first choice, given that's what they're most familiar with. I mean, I guess it does suck for people who don't like the style, but man, I'm sure this game is going to be something else.

SDuck1696d ago

Witcher 3 wasn't well adjusted to that situation but they had many options to fix that on Cyberpunk. Either way, I can't handle the f'n hype!

EazyC1697d ago

Nice, I hope the RPG elements are truly limiting in this game, e.g if you choose to be a stealthy hacker, you cannot also be a gun toting action hero. This is becoming in increasingly rare in modern RPGs with open world elements.

franwex1697d ago

I imagine that it will be similar to Deus ex in that regard.

Sirk7x1696d ago

If you haven't played Deus Ex: Human Revolution or Mankind Divided, those games would definitely be up your alley.

Releasing a Full Game On a Nintendo Switch 2 Cart Makes Sense

Begone, game-key carts. Full cartridges just work better and here's why.

Game key karts are just digital games.....why keep up the facade

Profchaos1d 2h ago

I didn't bother buying any game key carts for my system despite my preference being physical.
I brought the mkw bundle and that was a digital code but I wasn't going to pay double for the game
I got yakuza 0 digitally as the key card made zero sense to me it costs more and its just a digital game in disguise (I never sell my games anyhow)

darthv721d 2h ago

...obviously. If a game is 64gb or less, it should release on card. If it exceeds 64gb, the key card comes into play. It does suck that Nintendo wont support smaller cards, SW1 games came on anywhere from 8gb to 32gb cards. The cost of using a 64gb card for a game that would fit comfortably on a 32 or even 16 may not be cost effective for some smaller devs. Hence the use of the key card.

Then again, its taking a page out of Sony's book. They mandated the use of DVD media for all games a few years after the PS2 released. Until then, they supported games on CD. Then when it came to PS3, no game was allowed to use DVD, they all had to be bluray regardless.

Now with PS5, they only use UHD media, no regular bluray for games allowed. Even if the game is smaller than a DVD. So i can see Nintendo trying to standardize their game cards. If devs dont want to pay for the use... the key card is for them.

gigoran813h ago

why even bother buying one of the fake game cards? It's just going to be digital anyway. Save yourself the hassle of having to insert these fake cards and just buy it from the online store.

But I absolutely 100% do not agree with Nintendos take this generation. Forcing the new norm price point, and releasing a majority of their titles digitally with no sense of game preservation. Very disappointing.
