With a pandemic forcing most people to work from home, EA could have released a cut-price season update and explained that to their shareholders. Instead, we get an unfinished FIFA update at full price.
GamesIndustry.biz writes: "Relic is best known for the Company of Heroes and Dawn of War games, and recently developed the new Age of Empires for Microsoft. Relic will transition to an independent studio and will no-longer be part of the Sega group of studios.
The majority of the 240 job cuts are across Creative Assembly and Sega Europe, while there will be a ‘small number’ cut from Sega HARDLight. There was no mention of other Sega UK studios, including Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive."
Gearbox Entertainment has been purchased by Take-Two from Embracer Group.
Good as it should have been better then Embracer pawning them off to the next company like say Tencent.
It’s good to see at least some of Embracer’s studios escaping its embrace of death. A company the size of Embracer was doomed to fail due to low revenue.
Genuine Enabling Technology was seeking damages, claiming the tech allowing PlayStation consoles and controllers to communicate infringes its rights.
Sounds like patent trolling they tried the same thing against Nintendo with the same pattern.
Motion and control input traversing over higher and lower frequencies seperate from each other allowing the controller to do both
So to recoup the money Genuine is going to take on Nintendo or Microsoft next. I hate patent lawyers they are some of the worst bottom feeders out there.
How did that score a 3, barely saw a single positive sentence
Didnt they just come out with 20 like 5 months ago?
People should just watch gameplays nowdays, Hows it possible to be the same game yr on yr and consistently score 7's when they net 1$+ billions worth of microtransactions.
But looking at Amazon best sellers and seeing it top 3 does put a ./facepalm on my face, buying the same game since 09.
Told myself I wasn't going to buy it but I did. Idiot me.
FIFA 12 and fifa 13 were fun. You could play any formation and find one to your style and have a good game.
Since then every single year you have to pay a certain formation and style to stand a chance. It changes each year as they break a different bit of the game each year.
We've now got a game where you have to have all your defenders inside your own box and your forwards as far forward as possible. Drag backs and skills have made the game stupid. Full pressure and deep drop back in every single game. It's a mess.
