NFS Heat was a great game as was the self titled Need for Speed a few years back. Payback was absolutely awful though. I enjoyed NFS The Run a lot more and that was slammed in the reviews lol
Didn't really enjoy any of the NFS games after Rivals which was decent fun but extremely forgettable. 2015 wasn't alright but it had atrocious rubber-banding issues. Got Payback on sale and played a trial of Heat for a bit but they didn't really click for me. Maybe I should try Heat again.
@Kylo, I enjoyed Heat and Payback, I also liked The Run. I still have all 3 installed on my computer. Rivals I thought was horrible and that 2012 version of Most Wanted was by far the worst Need for Speed games I have played and disgraced the OG Most Wanted from before.
Need for Speed III Hot pursuit was one of the first games I ever played. For that reason alone I would love a remaster of that, however I would really like a NFS carbon remake
Kinda weird choice. They should remaster one of the PS2/Xbox-era NFS games, tons of people would buy it.
That would take effort though. I guess PS3/X360 remasters allow the dev to be lazy...upscale resolution, add the dlc content in with it, a few bonus items...and boom, remaster complete.
I think they have the numbers. They didn't decide to remaster it just like that. I would expect that it sold a lot on previous gen. This and Most Wanted are two best NFS games IMO. Both from Criterion.
Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted 2012 are definitely the most fun NFS games of the last 10 years. The other games are more like traditional NFS games so hardcore NFS games will probably get offended by your comment but the last 3 NFS games have been very low quality overall.
I've been a fan of NFS since psone and I think Hot Pursuit is one of the most traditional NFS games over the last decade.
Cutting out all the car customizing and just giving the player fun, competitive tracks with a diverse selection of exotic cars is what I think when I think OG NFS.
Why is this re-release/remaster even exists?? It can already do resolution increase and 60+fps on PC from eons ago. Then charges consumer full price on that is just terrible. Even an additional 6 hours and all DLC cant justify the price. This should be given for free or only at a bargain price.
That's exciting
Was this something we needed?
If this is not bc it could possibly be dead in the water.
