Final Fantasy XVI director Hiroshi Takai has a chance to revive the most cherished aspect of Final Fantasy in a way Hajime Tabata never could.
No he is not. He worked on FFV, XI, and XIV.
The author of this article was mainly talking about Takai being new in the sense of not having a directorial role in the series. “Hiroshi Takai, who's worked on the series before in a smaller capacity. Takai was the first assistant director for the expansion pack Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward. He's a relatively rookie director, having only directed the 2008 JRPG The Last Remnant prior to this.“
Then the title should not state that he is new to the series. Just that he never was the main director of a FF game.
No he isn't, hes the guy the worked on final fantasy 14 a realm reborn. Hes spoke about taking final fantasy back to its route. He must've been given the opportunity to do so
I'm pretty sure your thinking of yoshi p who was and still the director of FFXIV, but he is helping with 16.
Hope it's good. I haven't loved one since part 10
I missed epic melodies from Final Fantasy games, the ones that come to my head are from VII, VIII, IX and X. Also this one, so effing epic, this only melody makes me want to play this game so badly, fits so perfect to the atmosphere. https://www.youtube.com/wat... I hope this director at least bring one or create a new classic epic melody for XVI, devs are forgetting how important background music is to a game. :(
you not played ff14? these soundtracks are amazing
Agreed. Some of the best music in the series for sure.
thats very bad, final fantasy starting to look and play like some korean mmo, thats very bad. Thank god wewill be getting FF7 part 2
I think FF needs a break personally. When a game is in its mainline story is on game 16 that is a bit much! LOL. What I would like to see is starting at the first FF that they remake all of the games in modern technology and to modern standards.
