Which Game Series Have You Put The Most Time Into?

BY GROWNGAMING TEAM: As adult gamers, we’ve all poured more time into gaming than we’d admit to many of our friends, family, co-workers or therapists (hey, we don’t judge). Regardless of which platforms you game on or which genres you enjoy, we’ve all experienced great video games whittling away the hours until the sun starts to rise, bringing with it a groggy, lethargic day – but no regrets.

There are thousands of incredible games to play, and some of those amazing games become franchises that leech away at our spare time for years, if not decades. We asked GrownGaming’s team of adult gamers which video games series they’ve put the most time into. These were their responses.

What game series?
That’s a tough one. Some game series have been going on for like 30 years. So for me-who knows.

The game I have put most hours into this gen is actually Halo 5 at around 800 hours. Followed by Modern Warfare at around 250.

I put about 800 hrs into Halo 5 slayer as well. I was able to maintain Diamond rank in Halo 5 for about 2.5 years.

Fortresscraft Evolved, over 1000 hours, but much of the time I wasn't sure what I was doing

GTA easily, mostly GTA SA. I'm still playing that damn game lol

Dynasty warriors.Ive at least put over 300 hours into most titles

Elder Scrolls

Musou games hands down. I've put in thousands of hours into those games over the years. Ranging from Orochi, Gundam, Fist of the North Star, Zelda, Dragon Quest and Fire Emblem. I even played a game back on the GCN called Mystic Heroes a bunch before I had even heard of Dynasty Warriors. Lol

Definitely the Borderland series. A friend of mine and I played and finished B2 on every difficulty (excluding the hardest difficulty) . Seriously, when we were online together we played that game endlessly and still never found or conquered every part of that game. 6 years, no crap, we played that game for 6 years. I have no idea how to find out haw many hours we put into that game inc the expansions. I playaed B1 twice too before meeting him online. Have dabbled with the Pre-sequel and when he retuns fron the US in Feb (different time zones makes it difficult to catchup online) have no doubt we will play that through too before hitting up B3. Looking forward to his return, it's an amazing series and definitely the one I've sunk the most hours into.
