Demon's Souls Gets the Ultimate Glow Up in PS5 vs PS3 Comparison

Sammy Barker of PushSquare writes, "Demon’s Souls, arguably the flagship PlayStation 5 launch game, looks extraordinary running on Sony’s next-gen system – but how does it compare to the original PlayStation 3 game? Well, as you probably may imagine, the delta between the two versions is extraordinary, with Bluepoint’s remake bursting with additional detail and atmosphere."

I think Sony should acquire this studio

RightFootGames43d ago

Me too, I was actually expecting thar ight be announced, they should also try to grab Housemarque

StoneyYoshi43d ago

Im thinking if Returnal is a success, Sony definitely will try acquiring them. Just like how after Spiderman 2018's success, Sony ended up making an offer to Insomniac.

Agent_00_Revan43d ago

Agreed. If their next acquisition is Bluepoint, I don't know whats going on in their heads.

Absolutely!
I do wonder what their next project will be. I don’t mind if it’s another remake, but seeing them on a new IP would be exciting to see too.

NukeDaHippies43d ago

Pretty sure they do own bluepoint......

StoneyYoshi43d ago (Edited 43d ago )

No Bluepoint isn't owned by Sony......yet. Heres to hoping. Because their remakes are fantastic!

I have to admit I was surprised how good it looked. Bluepoint is really top form.

More than that, look at how well it runs. Souls games are notorious for their stuttering (which I would argue add to the difficulty unnecessarily).

Riposting and parrying should be far better in the remake. Very exciting.

Dark Souls and Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin for the PS4 run at 60 fps and I have never seen stuttering. Even Dark Souls 3 (PS4) which is capped at 30 fps is definitely playable and I have rarely seen stuttering.

If you want to play a Souls-like game that allows the player to rapidly attack and dodge play NioH and equip twin swords although my favourite weapon was the kusarigama which allowed to raise and beat revenants that were sometimes 20 to 30 levels above me. Depending on your luck this can result in armour and weapons that are well above what can be considered normal (Twilight missions are great for that).

Looking at the PS5 version of Demon's Souls (I have the PS3 version) on viewing the video that is going to be one of the must-have games when I get a PS5 although I can't see myself getting one till next year due to possible shortages which will only be exacerbated by scalpers.

I'm talking about the original games. I've never played the remasters, and Dark Souls III is the most stable but still imperfect.

Side note: I'm quite familiar with Ni-Oh. I've literally platinumed every game you mentioned, plus Bloodborne.

What a beautiful Remake! Bluepoint, you never cease to amaze😁
