I dunno, I tried to get into Hyrule Warriors and I just couldn't.

I'm a huge Zelda fan, but it seems after Breath of the Wild and this, I'm not sure if I can call myself that anymore.

Wow, it isn't often I come across someone with a negative opinion of Breath of the Wild. Each to their own, but either way, a third party canon title for any Nintendo IP is a big deal!

Yea man, I tried to play through Breath of the Wild twice and it just became a slog fest for me. I made it up to the Zora domain but I just lost motivation. One of my favorite games of all time is Ocarina of Time and I was a huge fan of Twilight Princess and, crazily enough, I really liked Skyward Sword.

I think because I've come to expect a certain formula with Zelda games that when you deviate too far from that it just loses the things that I loved about the series.

That's fair enough, sometimes people just prefer a linear experience!

I've got over 1,000 hours logged in Breath of the Wild.
