Today, Ubisoft announced that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the next installment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, will release on 10th November 2020.
"On Xbox Series X, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will run at 60 FPS in full 4K resolution." 👊
With that statement endorsing the Xbox and the AC release date change, we now know whose pocket Ubisoft is in. In other words Microsoft paid big to arrange this to fill the gap from the Halo Infinite delay.
@Mr Pumble 🤔🤔🤔
Mr Pumblechook Unlikely, they've been juggling a date and that was probably due to no concrete next gen launch and they've also moved it out to launch nicely before CP2077, originally was scheduled within a few days. It doesnt take MS wallet to persuaded you (the most basic common sence will do the job) there is some benefit to being a big name game to release at the same time/day as a next gen console (which you've given marketing rights to).
@Fishy Fingers. Good insights from you. You reminded me that games released for a console launch often sell brilliantly no matter what they are because buyers are looking for anything. Ubisoft for sure would have the games and physical discs complete and at retailers for November, so getting the official date from Microsoft means they can ensure their games are ready for launch day. Also, the threat of Cyberpunk 2077 is massive so trying to get out ahead of that with Watch Dogs definitely makes sense.
I have to applaud this. This should the be a minimum requisite for next-gen.
Where are the haters now?
Not sure who this silly comment is aimed at. Buts it’s the xbots who seem to think they are experts on what the ps5 can and can’t do. Not the other way around. You can bet the ps5 will be 60fps too. It seems to upset people when the ps5 performs the same. Xfans need those bragging rights for some pathetically odd reason
@ The Problem Most extreme "PS" fans believed this game will/would be 30fps and was making fun of the series X His comment is aimed at "them"
The confirmation of 4K/60fps made me so happy :)
This game looks mediocre
Not surprising, it's 23rd game in a series (or 12th, if you count only major releases). And Assassin's Creed franchise is only 13 years old. They don't need to release something interesting or fresh, «Assassin's Creed» name sells everything, even shitty games and movies.
I'm just upset they ditched the animus and the future portions of the story
"I'm just upset they ditched the animus and the future portions of the story" Wait, did they? That would actually make it better then
As a former huge AC fan, the series has fallen in disarray at this point. Its all forgettable storytelling with boring one-off generic trope characters, packed in a game world with nothing but redundant and filler main missions and side missions. Wasting away hours of your life doing nothing but the same the grinding for no purpose other than to see numbers go up or down. Games are not a waste of someone's life, but endless grinding for no worthwhile reason is a waste of a person's life span. Assassin's Cred is a waste of a person's life span at this point, and I truly wish this weren't the case. But Ubisoft gotta Ubisoft, and so I've moved on.
I've said that about plenty of games and changed my tune once I actually played it.
I have to say I've only been wrong about a game a few times but I was massively wrong about fallen order being a bad game. The videos made the gameplay look mediocre
I hope the PS5 version will sport 60fps as well. Not getting a Series X at launch, I went for a RTX 3080 and the PS5...for now.
That 3080 is a hell of a value 👍
Finally a worthy upgrade from my trusty 1080TI :)
Sitting out one gen is "finally"? Im keeping my 1080ti for at least one more gen. Might evven build a new pc at that point.
Had it for three years, so yes. And i'm not sticking around for sub 100fps gaming either for the next year. I think at this pricepoint, and a good return for the 1080ti..that an upgrade is valid.
If you got a 3080, then just...play this on pc
Nah these kind of games suits my console gaming better to be honest. Would look pretty slick on my OLED anyways.
I agree with limited... This is more of a console game... I bought a 75" Q90R for a reason
We'll see if it can keep up with Ghost of Tsuhima.
Hopefully Ghost will run at 60fps on PS5. They can throw 30fps in a dumpster fire. Give us 60fps+ next gen.
I'm saving this and LoU2 for PS5 and hoping for an upgrade
Then does that mean the PS5 will not release before November 10th?
Why would Sony care about when Ubisoft releases their game? lol
Because like it or not 3rd party games sells the most on ANY console.
The game will be cross-gen, so it doesn't matter when it releases vs when the new consoles do.
It sucks that its releasing so close to Cyberpunk I'm gonna have to leave this one for later on.
Yeah, this one is going to wait until next year for me. Cyberpunk and Spider-Man get first go.
Should be ALOT of people eatting crow right about now. Not long ago on this very site a lot of haters was talking crap on the Series X power because Ubi said they wasn’t sure if this game would run at 60fps 4K. Where you guys at?
it was built ground up for current gen. Sure hope it runs 60fps at 4k with the massive leap theyre making.
And no one will care. If a tree falls in a forest...
That's nice. How about a game that's not the same shit year after year, like Beyond Good and Evil 2.
I am hyped for this game but I am crossing my fingers that there are not any XP boosters in the game.
That will kill any hype I have for it. Grinding in oddesey was borderline making the game not worth it.
I know what you mean. Origins was the first time I had to farm side missions in a game. I even did a lot of the side missions because I was having fun, but not enough, because when I was ready to move on in the game it was either grind or pay for XP boosters. The reason I am still salty about it, is that they make beautiful games, but they ruin them with stuff like this.
Hopefully they don't pull the same release date BS like they did with the last one - one release date, please, not one for people who pay more money for the ultimate edition, and one for people who buy the regular edition.
