Remaking Resident Evil 4 is not an automatically impossible task, but compared to RE2 and RE3, modernizing the game could be more tenuous.
if only dared to reboot it a liitle bit ..RE4 could become an amazing RE game (it is already a very fun game but it is not a good RE game) . ..Could easily remove the dumb rescue president daughter s plot , remake las plaguas to be more Zombie-like without firearms , slow down the pace and make gunplay action more deep, difficult and survival centric like RE1 , redesign some bosses that now look like to have escaped from medieval themed games , remove QTEs and Krauser ...and generally everything that wasnt close to sci fi Resident Evil s lore (the whole game haha lol) ....
yeah the president's daughter plot was very cheesy. I loved RE4 at the time of release but the plot is bad.

I think they went with something simple like that because of the fact that the series itself was taking an "Easy" turn. Guess they didn't want to overwhelm the action game fans with story. RE4 is a ridiculously easy game for RE standards before it had came out.
Wrong. It’s low risk, medium reward or high reward.
The campy plot is what makes it RE, all plots were campy in RE, really. What really should've happened after seeing the RE Villiage trailer next gen, that would have been awesome if RE4 remake looked like that. Instead it will be stagnant current gen, which has so many limitations compared to a next gen RE4.
Agree with all that...it'd be possible to keep the president's daughter plot and make it so it's not annoying though. If I remember right wasn't that the basis for the entire story? Maybe ditch the escort bits and the bit where you control her and I'd say it'd be ok, cheesy but ok.
Man I was a mega-fan when this game came out and recently I played the PS4 Remaster and barely could get through it. I wouldn’t say it’s a bad game by any means, but having played the other games after RE4, it was more of annoying experience for me to get through. Especially trying to get the bottle caps... yeesh The other thing is I think the 1/3 of the game is great, the 2/3 where it’s the castle - Salazar fight was kind of boring, then the 3/3 of the game on the island was just a slog. Honestly, I’m not sure if I’d want a Remake unless they do some serious changes.
I think it is too early to remake RE4. Would rather they work back from 2 and remake the first RE games.
RE1 already has a remake and its the best game in the series.
shut up and take my money, re4 is still the best old re!
I respect your opinion but Hell No!! to that in my opinion.
RE4 has nothing to do with "old" RE. It went WAY out of its way to have nothing to do with it.
They've released RE4 so many times, I'm not sure a RE4 remake is even necessary.
If they put effort into it and add some new content I'd be down.
Wouldn't Code Veronica be next?
i hope so. RE4 has been released on every console since it's been released. It's like skyrim at this point.
A remaster really isn't needed, in my opinion. The game still looks pretty nice in HD, and still feels fairly modern when playing. If anything, I'd like to see a remake that addresses some of the weaker game design elements.
RE:outbreak never gets any love , back in the day it was really fun abet there was no VC ,. I think it would be hella fun now a days with a proper remake and it takes place between RE 2 and 3 . We need some online RE shenanigans!!!
thats realy cool
I loved Resi 4, the whole change of setting, faster gameplay. Still have the GameCube and ps2 versions.
With how badly Capcom screwed up the RE3 remake, I wouldn't go anywhere near this.
