The Catch is fantastic to stick on when you just can't get out on the water in real life. The landing of a fish in this game is super satisfying.
The best fishing games allow us to escape into a world that is often relaxing, sometimes competitive, and even a matter of survival.
Bass Masters Classic for the SNES was pretty great
EDIT: Author should be arrested for saying RDR2 has the best fishing minigame without even so much as mentioning any of the Zeldas. Criminal.
