Nintendo's next Zelda remake should be the Oracles

The Oracles are some of the most underrated games around, and they should be the next Zelda remakes from Nintendo.

Why? There are plenty of people who never played those games (plenty were not even born when they came out). Its not like someone is forcing you to buy them, but its still going to be the first time playing them for someone else

DarkZane1749d ago

I hope they remake them. They were much better games than Link Awakening in my opinion. In fact, those 2 games should have been remade instead.

Cuzizkool1749d ago

They should be relatively cheap and/or easy to make. Just use the Links Awakening engine. That would be a pleasant surprise.

CrimsonWing691749d ago

I actually never got to play these.

Jeronemo1748d ago

It would be so awesome if they made a remake and decided to add the removed/skipped third title to the Oracle series. Recently replayed them on a gameboy advanced sp, still worth it.

Both games developed by CAPCOM.

Inverno231d ago

No remakes, they should instead make a deal with Capcom to make new 2D games.

Agent75231d ago

Remakes would then warrant full price games at £50. Would much prefer a Zelda collection, but that's never going to happen. I never played these games. Prefer 2D Zelda games, last one I played was Minish Cap.

I completed both recently, and they're okay. They've got nothing on A Link to the Past, but they did feature a few challenging dungeon puzzles, overall they are worth a playthrough, but also not that memorable.

Why The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Makes More Sense for the Switch Than the Oracle Duology

Recent rumors suggest The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons/Oracle of Ages games are coming to Switch, but that doesn't really add up.

I remember enjoying Twilight Princess overall, though the dark/light world mechanic felt too similar to Metroid Prime 2.

I never played Skyward Sword though. Did that retain the cool as fuck sheathing animation link does in Twilight Princess?

scoltar1419d ago

The whole time I played the remake of "Link's Awakening" on my Switch, I kept hoping they would do the oracle games in a similar style.

enkiduxiv1419d ago

I wonder when the "why any other Zelda but Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword would make more sense" article will pop up.

BrainSyphoned1419d ago

Gotta release um all Zeldamon'

Really funny seeing this and "What’s with the lack of game content, Nintendo?" right next to each other.

OK......no and hard pass but ok. Look Zelda TP is a very good entry but imo its had its time and 3 versions on (Gamecube, Wii, Wii U) I say let it rest. Especially since it will inevitably be just a slightly touched up port of the HD Wii U game. Id actually prefer a Wind Wake HD port over TP. That said Oracle of Seasons/Ages done in the new Link's Adventure style is vastly more appealing to me, and I hope that's what they do.
