Black Ops Cold War Reveal Trailer Shoots Out, Multiplayer Reveal September 9th

After teases, & even a marketing stunt that lasted for a week, we now have our first look at the Black Ops Cold War reveal trailer & it shows gameplay. All gameplay captured on PS5.

morganfell1351d ago

Looks great. And it also appears Sony struck first with the marketing rights.

excaliburps1351d ago

Yep. The marketing deal seems to be continuing next-gen...

Babadook71351d ago

I don't play COD anymore, but man this looks good!

Crazyglues1351d ago

Why is PS5 version 10 dollars more when it's just the PC version, if anything it's easier now to make the PS5 version it's just the PC code... wtf.. why are companies trying to charge extra for that.. They did nothing special for the PS5 version.. So lame..

morganfell1351d ago

“ Why is PS5 version 10 dollars more when it's just the PC version,”

That may be the case. Then again it may not just be the PC version. I will agree once we have confirmation.

Bruh1351d ago

Typical Activision BS, they're trying to justify a $70 price tag by claiming they're pushing the boundaries of next-gen hardware lmfao.I woulda hopped that multi-million dollar partnership that Sony has with Activision woulda let them keep PS5 games at $60 guess not

Father__Merrin1351d ago

Pc version hardly has online players it's a joke. Give it 6 months and you find are TDM and F4A

RaveTears1351d ago

Because that the bundle that includes both the PS4 and PS5. We don't have an official pre order for PS5 version only. Is a scum move charging an extra $10 to include the PS5 version in the bundle.

KyRo1351d ago

And this is why when I buy the PS5, it will be the disk version. It may end up costing more upfront but the money I will save on games will quickly make that purchase worth it. Physical is always cheaper in the UK unless there's a digital sale.

DarXyde1351d ago

To be fair, developers get a bigger cut on PC. Still, this game has PLENTY of platforms, so Activision can toss off with that price hike.

Bladesfist1350d ago

They're selling it through their own store on PC so the console manufacturer / retailer do not get a cut. Maybe they decided to pass that saving on to the consumer.

Razmiran1350d ago

Pc versión haa crossplay, won't run out of players just like mw2019 hasn't

Ju1350d ago

"Just the PC version". How so?

Crazyglues1350d ago

@ Ju

What do you mean how so... have you ever played on PC... all they are doing is running the PC version meaning graphics turned up on the console, they didn't go in and design stuff that's just for the nex gen console version, it's just like GTA V it will just be running the PC version, meaning high fidelity graphics and stuff turned up, they didn't make a whole new version taking advantage of PS5 features, so why charge for that.. if you have disc PS4 version you get the PS5 version free... but if you bought digital you need to cough up 10 bucks more for PS5 version... money grab for no-reason... What's hard to see here...

Please tell me what I'm missing...??? Why is this confusing people...

SurvivorGirl1350d ago (Edited 1350d ago )

It may not be JUST the PC version I read an article a month ago that said gaming companies where going to be raising game prices $10.00 for thier next gen games. They say their going broke and that the cost of making games has gone way up and bla bla bla its a bunch of Bullshit if you ask me they just see a chance to make more money and think the time is right ot squeeze us for cheddar.

COD been partnered with Sony for years now. This isn’t new. Game looks good

morganfell1351d ago

I agree. But unless someone has direct knowledge that Sony has/had a multi game marketing deal it means they had to negotiate for this game separately.

Good to see Woods, Mason and Hudson return. Even though I am Infinity Ward fan. BO1 is my 3rd favourite CoD game in terms of campaign after CoD 4 and MW2.
And offering optional objectives, semi-open mission design with multiple paths, and optional side missions this time around just makes me wish : please be more than 5hours.

LordoftheCritics1351d ago (Edited 1351d ago )

Same COD4, MW2, BO1

Limitedtimestruggle1351d ago (Edited 1351d ago )

I liked the previous Black Ops games, and I will surely take the single player for a spin! I don't think I ever will be able to enjoy the COD online experience again after trying some of the later previous entries in the franchise! I guess I'm tired of the gameplay aspect of it, but some Zombies might be awesome though :D

waderae1351d ago

September 9th.... Ps1's 25th anniversary...

Coincidence? Playstation Event incoming?

JEECE1351d ago

Yeah this would line up with yesterday's "leaks" regarding the announcement of pre-orders.

sprinterboy1351d ago

Definatly imo, as soon as we saw Sept 9th Sept mp reveal I was like ps5 event confirmed haha.

ocelot071351d ago

Only £5 I know but charging for a next gen upgrade. Where the likes of say EA and FIFA are offering free upgrades to PS5 and Xbox even if you buy a disc copy.

Bruh1351d ago

From what it seems so far, only Playstation is getting an exclusive upgrade option. I don't think that extends to Xbox and PC players

phoenixwing1351d ago (Edited 1351d ago )

@bruh
pc doesn't need upgraded versions for the most part unless it's a complete remaster. for pc all you do is update

Another great month imo. The COD campaign on this one was great fun. I've never played Alan Wake, so a PS5 version of that is a perfect way to prepare for the next one...

taurul315d ago

You're in for a treat with Alan Wake. It still holds after so many years.
For me it's the best psychological thriller I've ever played that is not Silent Hill.
Alan Wake 2 is my most wished sequel of all time, waiting for it since 2010...

bloop315d ago (Edited 315d ago )

Sweet!! I never got around to playing it on the 360 but always wanted to. Looking forward to next month!!

Crows90315d ago

Agreed. You see I'm surprised that Microsoft hasn't bought remedy...of all the studios in their list....I'd assume remedy would be an obvious based on real actual relationships.

I liked Alan Wake and am super excited for Alan Wake 2. Hopefully turns out great ..I've actually liked ALL of their games including quantum break...except for the TV show part.

Christopher315d ago

I've never bought a CoD game, but now due to PS+, I 'rent' like 8 of them or so. I played one a few times with my nephews. Still not my cup of tea. But, it's interesting to see how many CoD games PS+ can throw at me.

LG_Fox_Brazil315d ago

Pretty damn good, I almost bought Alan Wake last month, glad I held my wallet

REDGUM315d ago

I picked up my copy of it 2nd hand just last Saturday. agghhh. If only I had waited just a little more longer.

Knushwood Butt315d ago

Me too, it's been on my wishlist for months. Glad I held out!

Elda315d ago

A pass for me due to playing Cold War & Alan Wake already.

phoenixwing315d ago

Glad I didn't buy cold war or Alan wake. Now I can enjoy them for the stories

Kassanova07315d ago

I was curious about both. Great timing!
